We agreed to terms of trade and I provided my FFL info and dropped gun at my FFL for shipment on Thursday. Other party said he would call them and sort out paperwork and ship on Friday. Was notified Friday was going to slip to Monday, although my shipping was already in motion. Checked to follow up today after confirming my gun had already shipped and other party claimed that they could not validate FFL info and could not ship until this took place. I informed other party about ATF FFL EZ-Check and sent another copy of my FFL and suggested calling shop again. Other party had suspicions based on them not returning an e-mail and said to "not tell him what to do or he would have no problems getting FBI and ATF involved". I stated that I was now out shipping charges and a gun at this point and had not even an expected ship date on what I was to receive to show for it. Part of the trade was also some cash and other items to me, and inquiries about where these were since they didn't require an FFL to ship were met with no response. Suggestions to try calling them again were met with stubborn refusal to do so, but did result in a long, angry phone message about how I "failed to grasp the law". It was decided eventually to call off the trade and just return my gun to me. So now I am out a total of $95 ($6o to ship and $35 transfer back to me), just to receive my own gun back and nothing else to show for it. Other party refuses to refund even part of the money. I am trying to get Fedex to reroute the package back to the FFL, in which case I will be out even more money.
