Bill Oreilly and Katrina gun-grab

Also, the Katrina gun grab was one of the worst moments in our history in regards to gun owners, IMO. A mistake that I hope is never repeated. It flies in the face of exactly what the 2nd amendment is there for, does it not?
It was no more of a "mistake" than forcing the Japanese-Americans into concentration camps. They were both calculated CHOICES, intended as naked power grabs.

That segment would have been a good one for Lou Dobbs to intervue.

Is he still part of FOX? I haven't seen him on O'Reilly since a couple of short subjects when he first came over from CNN.

O'Reilly skips over too many important points with a wave of the hand. Not letting someone explain, interupting them, and generally pushing the conversation towards an end that meets his show entertainment value rather than what may perhaps be a truer picture.

Sometimes in their haste, people show their true colors. I think that's the case here.

Gotta keep those ratings up there..

I distinctly remember him being Pro-Gun after the Katrina crap. He said, basically, Look! A perfect example of why you need to be able to defend yourself. The police couldn't get to these people to help them.

TO ANY JUNKIES WHO MAY BE LURKING:

I believe mr. O'Reilly lives in Connecticut.
(Not sure. Look it up.)

Why worry about where your next fix is comin' from during a weather emergency?!

Just put your shopping list together, steal a snowmobile, and hit O'Reilly's place. Safe as mother's milk, you'll be.

TaTa.

living on the texas gulf coast all my life, i have been through many hurricanes. About 15 yrs ago,,me,my family(8 people),and three dogs, had to evacuate. if you've never been through an evacuation, you cant imagine the unrest, and fear in everyones mind.
two highways were merging into one lane, and it was a major traffic jam. a car broke ranks and was headed for the highway, trying to go around everyone. they pulled up along side my van and started honking for me to move, however i had no where to move to. the car had about 6 young guys all drinking, and singing to a sound system that rattled my windows. they got out and were laughing and singing, like this was a big party to them. that was one time i wish i had a shotgun or handgun. you could tell everyone around us were scared and defenseless. Luckily ,a Texas highway patrol came up behind us and arrested these guys, after searching their car and i assume took them to jail. people are crazy even before the hurricane hits. it took us 14 hours, in a packed car to find a place to stay.Hurricane Ike (2007) did the most damage to our area. our local beach, crystal beach, was completely gone, nothing was standing,,looked like the after math of an atomic bomb.

I am getting tired of his e-mails where he continually mentions ad nauseum how somone loved page 67 or 76 or 89 of his book to boost sales

And the first 15 minutes of his show is dedicated to how great Fox News is doing in the ratings, thanks to him.

We've just about had it with him and his self-promotion/congratulations. His true color has come out and it's green.

He lost me when he had to write a seven million dollar check to get out of his sexual harrassment predicament. I guess he realized he couldn't refute audio tapes. Mr. Culture Warrior is a perv, and won't discuss it any further:

I won't post a direct link since there is some distinctly non-family friendly content, but if you go to the site and search for O'Reilly, you'll find it.

I don't why your guys keep calling him a right wing conservative. He's not! Not even close.

He calls himself an independant, but seems he has been leaning further left since obama got into office. He constantly defends him if a guest should attack obama.

Mostly the only reason we watch him now is to catch a good conservative guest....like Ann Coulter!

May, 1998 in San Francisco, three street criminals tried to mug me for my camera. The only thing that saved me from a beating and loss of my camera was my Walther. Cell phone as a defensive weapon? If all I had was a cell phone, I would have been beaten, robbed of my camera, and robbed of my cell phone. Was it Bugs Bunny who said, "What a maroon."

Bill O'Reilly usually gives me a headache. He's so wrong at times... And yet he thinks if he says it loud enough, he'll be right. To be fair, a lot of media commentators suffer from this (Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, etc.). In fact, I don't even watch the shows anymore, because the only thing that is left spinning is my eyeballs when I think of all the stuff they're trying to feed me. Very rarely does a decent piece on guns ever come up (John Stossel had that good one on 20/20, though).

Of course, he's the first to let you know that he knows everything. Last night he was going on about how he knew Military Law, and then he argues with Megyn Kelly about law when she's the one with the law degree... Amazing.

Then again, nothing beats the night he said "I know reality better than anyone". Yeah, you would say that, in your $3000 suit and tie, pretending you give two nickels about 'the folks'. You better wise up, O'Reilly. We're on to you.

Megan told him twice he was wrong but he glossed it over so you wouldnt notice, well I noticed Bill!! your way wrong on this and I dont want Anything to do with him or people like him. These are the people to be carefull about!!!

I love how he teaches "The Folks" a big, hard word every day. I have trouble with big words, so thanks for the help Bill.

Let me give you one Bill... "BLOWHARD"

Now I'm clinging to my guns, my religion... and my dictionary too!

Last I heard it was Glen Cove on the Island , LI, NY

Bill O is one of the few who offers an opinion that is of his own rather than partisan pap.

While I may not agree with him on all views, I'm not sure it's time to throw him overboard as some traitor to the American cause.

I'm not a Bill O'Reilly fan and seldom watch his show. He seems so pompous and self important that I doubt anybody can teach him anything.

Pissed me off so much and he's so dead wrong, I sent hin this email at Fox:

With all due respect, you are all wet on gun confiscation.

The government is NEVER allowed to confiscate firearms from law abiding citizens - ever.

The Constitution and Bill of Rights spells this out clearly.

We are citizens, not subjects.

Disasters and emergencies are exactly the time a citizen needs to be armed.

Overzealous government agencies and the intelligentsia notwithstanding, I'll stick to the Constitution and Bill of Rights, you can observe and obey all the unconstitutional dictates you please.

As Ben Franklin said, "an unconstitutional law is no law."

Reminds me of an old poster.

A cell phone can be a great defensive, weapon! It just depends which phone...

I've heard enough of these double talking blowhards. I knew there was a reason I stopped watching most TV.
