Bill O'Reilly is a doofus

Sadly the "Andy Griffith Show" reruns stop at 8:00 when O'Reilly come on. He's no different the most of the politically-oriented, talking head shows that we get on cable. All are self-righteous, ego-maniacs. Many are totally agenda driven and facts or logic are seldom part of their presentations. Unfortunately many can't differentiate between biased conjecture and hard news. I believe that somewhat explains the dummying down of the America.

In Bill's case and to his credit, I do think some of his causes are noble and I also believe he's quite philanthropic.

In regards to gun control, the list of absolute, ardent 2A supporters in the media is getting smaller and smaller. I don't know what is in people's hearts, but I do know the main stream media is largely driving the anti-gun conversation and having a very negative effect on our rights.

I used to watch the program once in a long while. I haven't since he made the statement that one shouldn't be allowed to cross state lines with an "assault rifle".

In the past I have watched him call for gun registration. And he calls for Federal law after Federal law for every problem he perceives at the moment.

But perhaps Chuck24 is referring to this. About 4:30 into it...

"Also, gun dealers all across America should be required to report the sale of certain kinds of guns, heavy weapons, directly to the FBI. Not handguns, not talking about that, but other weapons that would be defined by Congress. That is a sane approach and would make it a lot tougher for the Omar Mateens of the world to get the weaponry to kill."

Report to the FBI so they can't start a database of those "heavy weapons"?

But I could be wrong. Either way, I no longer bother to watch him and really I only miss Jesse Watters' segments. :D

Bills "easy out" (of making a total ******* of himself) is when he interrjects with "bazookas" Rocket-Launchers, Tiger tanks etc-into his VERY lame attempt to justify his statement.

Since I no longer watch him I will have to ask. While he spends plenty of time advocating for new and improved laws for our country, has he spent much time talking about the current trend by you know who to release criminals from Federal prisons short of their terms?

No point in all this mandatory sentences and such if the big guy waves his wand and lets them go.

One would think O'Reilly would have a lot to say about that on a regular basis. Perhaps even putting his staff to work and tell his viewers specifics of the crimes that were committed and why they deserved to have their sentences commuted. I might consider watching if he would do that. Assuming he could dispense with the yelling and bouncing around in his chair. :D

Nah, I probably still wouldn't watch him...

O'reilly says what he says so that it guarantees he gets a one-on-one interviwe with the prez or presidential candidates. In other words, he talks the talk but doesnt walk the walk.

I used to hate her years ago thinking she was ignorant and ill informed...then I gave her a second chance a few months back and she sort of won my wife and I over...then, recently, she started being quite rude (again) to her guests, especially Kasich imho, and it turned me off.

She's on double secret probation at the moment so we'll have to see how it goes.

I liked her better before she got a haircut.:D

I liked Kelly a lot til she started messing with Trump. I.e., she took a personal position and lost her objectivity.

Lately, it's all about Kelly, and I'm not interested.

That's when I "lost" it with her-when she picked a fight with the Don, and moaned about losing it.

One thing on Bill Oh-that we do have to remember is--he is a Commentater and NOT a newsman. Hes said that so himself. There IS a difference twixt the two-how much? i dunna know.

Unfortunately, there are far too many NY'ers that are way too loud & give that very impression...

The gun toting, freedom loving conservative colonists from NY are all here in Arizona! :D.

Seriously, I'm not sure if your post is meant to be derogatory towards we NYers or a public service announcement for Arizona. In either case I found your statement to be equally as bigoted and as it is incorrect.
