So im a huge J frame fan, but since I received my Bodyguard 2.0 it has stayed in my pocket over my J frames. Its the 1st auto I have found that draws almost as smooth as a J frame. Both at work as a bug & off duty it is just a breeze to carry. It shoots very very well & with 11 or 13 rds its really hard to carry my J frames anymore. Is anyone else having similar observations? Is this really the J frame replacement? What's everyone's opinion. Just FYI ive been carry assorted J frames for over 20 years.

Sorry- I refuse carry a pre-energized striker gun with no manual safety in my pocket.
IIRC, they make a version with a manual safety.
They do make one with a manual safety. In fact, the safety is required in some states like CA and MA. Mine has one, as you can see here:

Same for me just a different brand.

Carried an LCR for almost a decade. But when the LCP Max was introduced I switched to it for the 160% increase in capacity.

Just don't sell your J Frame.

Depends on the pocket shape and size. Some work better with a J some work better with the BG2.0

Lots of good reports on the Bodyguard.
I switched from a pocket semi to a hammerless J frame (642) about 10 yrs ago when I was 60.
Nothing to think about, Never experienced a life/death adrenaline dump so I figured idiot proof reliability was best for me. Often carry 2, and/or add a IWB Glock 23 if I feel the need.
A lot depends on where you live and what your exposed to.

I like my BG 2.0 a lot, but with only 150 rds. through it, I don't yet trust it nearly as much a pocket revolver (for me it's a LCR or K6xs; sorry J-frame fans, no offense intended), and I probably never will trust any small semi-auto as much as a revolver.

Most of us know the cons (low capacity) and pros (everything else) of revolvers. The advantage of revolvers that keeps one on me much of the time is that they work perfectly with a slop grip and poor shooting posture, both of which are possible in certain real life situations.

We all have different preferences and needs. We are very fortunate to have so many good choices!
My BG will probably only be carried as a BUG or when tiny and FLAT is absolutely necessity.

I carry the BG 2.0 in the front pocket. Lots of pocket holster options but 13 years ago I folded, stitched and cut my owe from a mouse pad for a Taurus 709 and I can still use this for new BG 2.0 with a little more cutting.

I have looked at those and the only issue is the safety is very stiff to click off and tiny. Other than that, I like it overall. Haven't shot one yet, tho.

I have several mousepads available for recycling. I Never thought of using them as pocket holsters. Could you show a picture of yours. I may follow in your footsteps. Thanks...Pete

For comparison — I would not compromise on a quality pocket holster, that stays in the pocket on the draw!

I front pocket carry a Sig P365 w/ a MS, in a Alabama (Kydex Retention) holster.
This safety lever is very economical in the draw motion as it clears the pocket /holster on the way to low ready position.
I am quite fond of this pistol. Here with a flush 10 rd mag. To date ~3,650 rounds down range w/ no issues.
