You said you have to give it a tap to get the slide back into full battery?It's not the press check I'm focused on, it's that when the slide is manipulated back a little (on purpose or on accident) it doesn't fully return to battery…and hence won't fire
If my BG2, after 200 rounds, the slide was getting "stuck" on a press check, I would have some concern about the cause. Especially because the amount of spring pressure on the guide rod is very high, and it seems that it would have enough force to easily close the slide to battery after a short press check... BUT... what I know about handgun design wouldn't make a little pimple on Bruce Gray's butt.
