Bodyguard 2.0 range report

I love the BG2.0, shortly after firing my first one I sold my LCP Max and purchased a second. :)
I love absolutely everything about it, except both of mine shoot far to the left regardless of how careful I am w/finger placement, trigger control, aiming, etc. (We're talking several inches at 10yds).
Anyone else experience this? I'm hitting the range again tomorrow morning w/a friend so I can determine whether the problem is me or the handgun. If it's the gun I have a sight pusher I can use on the front sight (front sights on both BG2.0's are slightly to the right, but enough to cause that much error?) but I'm saving that as a last resort.

Mine shoots directly to POA at seven yards with Fiocchi ammo but an inch left with Blazer Brass. Front and rear sights are centered.

After watching a few more reviews and remembering how it felt when I handled one, I'm gonna pick one of these up. Called two of the LGS I frequent and neither had one, both have some on order, and both priced them at $399. One of them told me he had two of them, a guy came in and bought one, 30 minutes later he came back and bought another...my bet is that his wife confiscated the first one quickly! :)

Can you post a photo with something else to give a sense of its size, like in your hand. It looks to me to be the same size as a Shield which would be counter productive for the .380 cartridge. The photos I've seen so far have just been of the gun without anything to give a size perspective.

The mag springs are definitely stiff right out of the box, no way I could've gotten the last 2 rounds in without a mag loader. It got a little easier with each successive loading, so they should break in nicely.

What Mag Loader did you use?

I use both a cheapo off Amazon I picked up for the LCP Max, works fine w/the BG2.0, and my Uplula for doublestack 9mm mags works fine as well.

Update on shooting left: Had both front sights centered by my local 'smith, now both BG2.0's shoot centered. :D

Thanks for the quick update!
The Ruger mag loader that came with my LCP Max works with my BG 2.0 but not easily on the last rnd. I'll pick up an Uplula and use it for my M&P 2.0 Compact too!

Haven't shot mine yet, but I can't get a loaded 10-rd mag to seat with the slide closed. Even with several firm hand hits. Don't want to really force things...
Anyone else have this problem?

I have to give both of mine a good smack to seat a fully loaded mag on a closed slide. Over 200rds later per BG2.0 and no apparent mag abuse problems.

Same here. Was at the range yesterday with the new BG 2.0 and the first load of the mags was difficult. However, each additional time it seemed to get a bit easier and by 200 rounds, both the 10 round and 12 round magazines were loading just fine.

What a pleasant upgrade from the original Bodyguard. It fits so much better in my hand and much easier to keep on target

Picked up the new Bodyguard today, it was just a matter of time...

Going to try to get out tomorrow and put about 200 rounds through it and see how she does. :)

Handled one yesterday, nice compact size. A buddy has one and said the recoil is very mild. I think they have a winner and will sell a boatload.
Now- S&W make one in 22LR.

What's the opinion on the front sight? Orange outline isn't very bright. I wish it was as visible as the LCP Max front sight.

If it turns out that the BG1 sights fit the BG2.0, Tru-Glo makes a set that is much brighter, both the orange and the tritium front sight and it also has tritium in the rear sight. The rear sight slot is a little narrower too. This same set fits the Ruger LCP Max as I did it to mine.

I consider it adequate, nighttime glow is sufficient as is the orange dot during daytime. I agree I'd prefer it was as bright as the LCP Max front sight. Since it's primarily a short-range weapon I don't see a need to upgrade for my needs at this time (ymmv).

Got to run 200 rounds through the Bodyguard today, I shot 150 rounds of 90 grain ball and 50 rounds of Winchester 95 grain HP, all fed flawless.

Point of aim was very close at 15 yards.

The magazines were pretty stiff to load but we doable by hand, granted I have somewhat gorilla sized hands! The UpLula loader was quicker to use anyway.

Got back to the house and cleaned the pistol, very straightforward, disassembly was no problem.

In all, seems like a great little pistol, I'm happy with it. The LCP Max has already made its way to the safe... :)

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago. Zero malfunctions but only 120 rounds fired.
Only problem was it shot left 3" or 4" at 10 yards. Bumped the front sight left and now windage is dead on.
I've back pocket carried a LCP on and off for 10 years and if I can can find a leather rear pocket holster it will likely replace the LCP.

Check out the DeSantis 'Trickster' leather pocket holster, it's how I EDC my BG2.0. :)

First Range Test

Shot my first 150 rds. of mixed loads today.

75 rds. of Fiocchi 95 gr. RN nose and had a couple rds. that FTF (fully chamber). Also occurred when releasing slide on a fresh mag. Happened with both 10 & 12 rd. mags.

75 rds. of Freedom Munition 100 gr. RNFP functioned 100% even with 10+1 loading. This is a hotter load and will be my carry ammo.

Both loads shot 1.5-2" left at 10 yds. Drifted "slightly uncentered" front sight a bit and will retest.

All-in-all very pleased with the Bodyguard 2.0's performance as its still tight and needs further break in.

Not a fan of the dim front sight setup at the indoor range. I did my usual mod with gloss white nail polish and now the big white dot really stands out.
