Took the new bodyguard to the range today. Didn’t do anything to it before shooting, out of the box and to the range it went. Only ran a hundred rounds through it but it had zero failures. Not being a very good shot in perfect conditions I can’t speak about the sights but was able to put all my rounds on the target, I don’t refer to groups because mine encompass the whole of the target.
Trigger is good as far as I’m concerned, my Glock trigger is worse.
As for snappiness, I don’t feel like it’s bad at all for a tiny little gun. I was using Magtech range ammo so I may have a different opinion when I put some nasty defense rounds through it. Overall it’s a pretty sweet gun and for those who are more capable than me, I think you’ll enjoy it too.

Congrats on a nice purchase!

I do like the magtech ammo and it seems to run very well both in my BG2.0 and in my 9mm pistols.

Read up on the disassembly and watch the recoil spring that can be a pain to reassemble but it's not impossible.

I had no issues with the defensive ammo I put through it, YMMV.

My reloads actually run a little hotter than my defensive stuff, but there is no reason to go batchit crazy on .380 loads.
The BG2.0 is remarkably soft shooting for a less than 10oz pistol; it's a day at the beach, compared to a PPK in the same caliber.

Welcome. You made a great choice but it’s not an h&k - namely:

It’s really a wonderfully designed pistol. It does however appear to have some feeding issues with particular defensive rounds. Seems feed ramp related given it’s a 2 piece ramp and it benefits from a mild grind and polish.

Speaking for myself I have run jhp with no issues- only the oddities seem to cause problems (flat nose, non expanding types, fxd). I will likely be polishing my feed ramp this week.

I typically fire fiocchi range dynamics which are pretty spicy for fmj range food and in find it very pleasant and have had zero issues after the first 20 rounds - it definitely seemed to need to break in a little.

In my experience small/small caliber pistols can be fussy with what they will run so I’m not about to to condemn the gun over it - particularly if there is (seemingly) an easy fix.

Dynamically it’s extraordinary. Grip, recoil impulse, build quality (finish) and mechanical accuracy are all top notch. It shoots like a pistol twice its size.

My sights came improperly centered (comically so) but I have what I need to sort them out. More of an annoyance but I do agree they should be right from factory….

A few months ago I had the wife shoot the Walter 22 I have she really enjoyed shooting for first time. So after research I went to buy her the S&W easy but to me looked like the Walter 380 I saw the Bodyguard and bought it instead. Did great out of the box really like the pistol but wife can’t rack it. Took her to Acedemy and she chose the EZ other than safeties and a little extra meat on back of the slide it’s a dead ringer for the Walter 380. That said the bodyguard will make a great EDC though I like my Kimber Mako a lot

The Walther/Umarex .22 is only vaguely the same pistol as the .380 version, no matter the name or appearance.
The EZ has a lot going for it, for just the reasons you mentioned. But it's only superficially the same critter as the Walther.

sorry I have a Walter PK 380 that I bought the wife a long time ago but she never liked it daughter loved it. I bought the Walter .22 she likes the size weight and lack of kick. Leading me to the bodyguard and not the EZ I should have done better in communicating that
