um, this may be totally taboo, and i'm still fairly new to SWs (but not to shooting), but has Smith ever made a bolt action heavy caliber weapon, like .338 lapua or .50? I have several of these weapons by various makers, and i think Smith's products (that i've owned now at least) are great quality, which quality controls in manufacturing is what tends to head the pack in that arena...just a thought
