I misplaced the beloved old Gillette adjustable my Dad gave me. We went on a cruise and I haven’t seen it since. I know it’s here somewhere.
I’ve used a Norelco for a while but I was t impressed.
I went wet shaving with disposables but not happy with them either.
I gave up the Gillette re-emerging from wherever it’s hiding, and ordered a Viking Emporer.
Funny thing is it arrived yesterday. When I got home from worked I asked Mrs Acorn if I got a package. She replied nothing was there when she checked earlier, but she had another delivery coming and she’d check again when that one came, which was about 15 minutes later.
While I’m opening my package, she asks what I’d bought. I told her, and she promptly told me to wrap it back up.
Her package was the same razor I’d bought but in a different finish.
I guess she really does know me.
Anyhow, it seems well made. Heavy but that’s what I wanted.
I also ordered some soap to use in my mug to make freight from Amazon.
I’ll give it its maiden voyage tomorrow to see how it shaves.
Kind of looking forward to it after using throwaways.

Bladed grooming instruments are cool too.

Having had a beard for the last 30 years, pretty much since I could grow one that didn't look like some sort of affliction, possibly mange, I just use disposables to trim. But then again, I never had very sensitive skin. Might be a different story now, but I'll never find out. Soupcatcher for life!
