I found a loaded full box of 38 amu ammo at the gun show yesterday. It was cheap enough that I said why not. I will get some picture up of it soon.

I am now faced with a quandary. Do I try some out and see how it would do? If so, how? I am not really sure it will shoot out of a 38 Super and I don't think the rim is enough for a 38 special.

I will have to play with it a bit. It would be interesting to chrono and see how accurate it was.

If it's .38 AMU the case is too long to go into a 38 Super. Plus the load is probably something like a 148gr @ 750fps, more what you need in a S&W 52. It would probably shoot in a 38 revolver as long as the chambers were tight and not chamfered too much. I'd see if there would be some collectible interest in them before I shot them.

I found a buyer with a 52 who needs some ammo. I will photograph them and send it on to a true collector.

It would have been interesting to try them out though.
