I just bought a M41PC. I went to the range full of excitement and left frustrated.
about 1-2 shots of each mag was a light strike. I did search and read about them here on the forum...however, before I start diagnostics and troubleshooting, can I ask if this is just normal for a new 41?

I have, of course, done the cleaning and inspecting and stopped there. Per the advice here I looked for damage where the gun may have been dry fired at the shop--does not appear so. However, I did see raw metal on the breach side where the extractor would go in. Pulling back the slide and slowly moving forward, I see the extractor hits the face slightly and then moves up into the correct slot. This does not seem normal... is this a repair? Bring this back to the dealer?

thanks!!

Trigger71 Welcome to the forum. No it should not be doing that at all. I hope it was CCI-SV ammo as thats the best ammo you can feed it.
Try putting a drop oil on the top Bullet load in every mag for a while. It may help give it that little extra assist it needs to work properly.
