There is, of course, no such thing as British humor. There is, however, British humour.

Not sure. I suspect Americans may be the only ones who need the phrase “British humor” to identify stuff that’s often over their head :D

In Britain, the term “British humour” might not be used much because it’s a redundancy. Maybe our ex-British members can clarify that ;)
 
My favourite British show, that we got in Australia, has to be "The Goodies". I grew up in the 1980's watching it.

"Oh dear, it seems I have trodden in monsieur's bucket."

I love it, showed my granddaughter that part of the movie the other night, she near wet herself laughing...she said they took the vomiting a bit too far for her taste but thought it was hilarious. I may have created a monster....she had never seen any Monty Python, when I told her it was one of my favorites she needed a taste of the best.
