Found this Bucheimer holster at a gun show for $5.00.(Yes, we actually have gun shows in Canada!) It mates up well with the Bucheimer lead-filled sap I carried on the job for thirty years (certainly not authorized for LEO's these days). My Highway Patrolman fits perfectly. I would have liked to carry an HP on the job, but my heavy barrel 4" model 10 served well.

Best regards, Gerry

Looks for all the world like the JayPee model used by NYPD, which was designed to cover the trigger guard. It is, therefore, too short for a 4 inch barrel. I wonder if it was made for a 2 or 3 inch revolver?

Shawn.....I think you're right. I remember those NYPD holsters, and all you could see was the grips of the revolver. Although it holds the 4" very firmly, I now suspect it is designed for a shorter barrel. Not that I was going to use it anyway, since it seems to be for uniform carry.

I miss the good ol' days when law and order was contained with the .38 caliber revolver and the leaded leather sap.

Cool. When I was a Cop I wish I could have carried those two as well.

I know that saps/slappers like the one in Maxadur's pics are illegal/banned for carry by most agencies coast to coast, but what about the slappers cousin...the billie club?

Remember it?

I've got one nestled in my sock drawer that comes out to play every now and again.

Shhh! Don't tell my Captain!

Haven't seen a picture of a "Roscoe" in a while.
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they're illegal just to possess here in CA.
