Check out the paragraph where the buyer of 1000 rounds was paid a "visit" by Homeland Security. I hope this is'nt true.

Maybe there was something suspicious about the transaction...I find it hard to believe Homeland Security/FBI/police etc. has the resources to investigate routine bulk purchases.

Seems with the ammo buying spree going on now, 1000 rounds of 5.56 would be the norm, nothing exceptional.

True...and kinda odd it was Homeland Security that came knocking. Seems like his local police or even the ATF would have investigated before Homeland Security.

Maybe the purchaser met that moron Napolitano's profile for a "right-wing extremist".

Maybe the reporter needed something sensational to add to a story that has been reported often already. Notice that the actual individual's name was not given, nor were they personally interviewed? Likely more yellow jounalistic sensationalism fabricated to sell the story. Most reporters now quote "an unnamed individual who was not authorized" to comment. If they can be unnamed, they can also be fictional. I don't trust most of what I hear anymore due to these unnamed sources.

The store owner is full of it. If I had a $1 for every B.S./false/unsubstantiated/idiotic statement I've heard in a gun store I'd be a millionare.

I sale ammo. 1K is hardly a "bulk" purchase these days. Guys spend 10k at one time when the ammo they want is in stock.
