Buying tires online

I have used the 2 popular names mentioned on line. I have purchased very high end tires for the exe's Mercedes Sport C class, as well as my Traditional Hot Rods. All is well until- the mounting dilema.

All times involved bringing tires purchased on line to be mounted, have resulted in disaster and attitudes by the installers that tested all of my will.

Everytime besides the mounting ordeal is the " BTW, we won't warranty tires you bought on line!!!" Say what you want I'm telling the truthe, I don't lie! This was from the web sites 5 star rated installer too!!

My advice if you don't have someone to install 100% trustworthy, is to print up the price and tire on line, and now bring this printed price to the tire store and have them match it as close as possible. They probably won't match 100% and that's expected, but it should be somewhat close. I hope that helps and I'm not trying to be negative here, just honest and convey just how poorly some businesses can be to consumers.

I usually go to Discount, which is real close.
But last go around, I also considered tire rack, and they
have links to installers.
But.. at the end of the day, a local mom and pop outfit that
specializes in those big fancy wheels ended up beating both
tire rack and discount. I think the price was about $84 bucks
cheaper than discount for a set. I wanted the same OEM tire
that came with the car because it is low rolling resistance.
So they had to order them, but got them the next morning.
I eyeballed the install to make sure they used a torch wrench
and not an impact wrench to snug up the lug nuts.
Don't warped brake rotors.
BTW, I checked that place just out of the blue driving by it,
and it paid off. He gave me a dang good price.

Most places that use impact wrenches to install wheels, use torque limiting sockets that are made to not over tighten with an impact.

Discount Tire is running a promotion this weekend 08/31 - 09/03 for $50 prepaid visa card on purchase of 2 tires, or $100 prepaid visa card on purchase of 4 tires.
