Can't buy ammo in CT anymore....

That I don't know but will look into it for you. Suppressors were banned in Massachusetts during the depression to stop people from poaching farm animals from farms. Apparently its one of the draconian laws that has remained on the books like one in a local town that makes spitting on the sidewalk a crime.

I have emailed GOAL about the issue and will let you know what they say.

PS: I also forgot to mention that I have been a member of this great forum since June of 2000 :D

The arcane and draconian gun laws here in the Commonwealth just serve to strengthen my resolve. Not the kind of guy that gets pushed around, and certainly not going to flee my home state. Know that what has happened here can happen anywhere. We are in good company here in the pro 2A community because we have to work harder than almost anywhere else. Knowing that my CCW causes so much consternation among the anti 2A crowd is just one more reason to stand my ground.

wow that's great, I bet the crime rate has been cut in half and people are leaving there doors unlocked at night..... sarcasm of course... This is ridiculous, and what gets me is that no matter what store you go in if you're buying ammo, the cashier immediately goes into defensive jerk mode.....visit my state.... South Carolina you can buy all you want and we'll help you tote it to your car. lol...at least for now

Same near me in NC. if they have it in on the shelf, they're more than happy to sell it to you.
That said, I've become a fan of Luckygunner- if it is on the site, it is in stock. too bad you have to follow the shipping rules for your state.

Hello Jim,

I hope all is well.

GOAL has not filed any bill regarding the prohibition of suppressors as of this date. Our focus has been on licensing, and the ban on certain semi-automatic guns and feeding devices.

You can take a look here http://www.goal.org/legislation.html. It is our proposed and filed legislative changes for this year.

That goes along with my thoughts on doing any more Class 3 business with MA manufactures. Focusing elsewhere.

I wasn't surprised that GOAL had not put effort toward this. The NRA has not been much help either. Heck, it wasn't that long ago, 2000, that the NRA refused to allow AAC (suppressor manufacturer) to set up a table at their annual show in Charlotte. Didn't want to be seen in a "bad light" as the NRA put it. The NRA has improved their position somewhat since but still has not been of much help that I have seen. As suppressors become more and more popular maybe the NRA will consider it worthwhile to put some focus on it. In the meantime.... I guess as long as GOAL isn't banning suppressor manufactures from attending their events that's about as much as can be expected. :(

I bet when election time come in CT there will be some changes in who gets voted to stay or go. The people of CT should stand up for there rights, push for a change.

What pissed me off is we protect are
President
Business men
Senators
Congress men and women
Sport stars
Movie stars
Are country and Freedom, with Firearms
why cannot we not do the same for are future, the children.
We need Americans to train and learn how to protect themselves and loved ones, from situations that can happen in a messed up world. This would create jobs for ex cops or ex military men and women that want to serve but I a different way. Or even regular men and women who would take the training to get a job as School police.

TI wasn't surprised that GOAL had not put effort toward this.:(

You have to keep in mind what is going on here in Mass. To take time and resources to pursue the suppressor issue would just drain resources from fighting much bigger issues. A bill to legalize suppressors would have 0 chance, less than 0 chance, of passing the legislature at this time. Never mind surviving a veto from our courageous governor. Right now the fight is about leveling the field in the licensing process and keeping from loosing any more ground. We live in a state dominated by the Democrats. In fact, many of them run unopposed from election to election. They can do anything they want whenever they want and they spend their time furthering their own and their parties agenda. It wasn't always this way but the middle class workers have left the state along with the jobs leaving behind the liberals and the welfare state, neither of which have any interest in gun rights. But like one of the previous posters said, running away is not an option. The only option is to fight because what is happening here can happen in Texas or North Carolina or anywhere. It only takes a small population or economic shift to put them in the same boat as us. Our fight is your fight too.

I left MA in 1980 for TX and don't regret it. No snow to shovel, 300 days a year with sunshine, reasonable home prices, lots of jobs. Hot in the summer but we have AC. Dips to below 32 6x a year. Gun friendly state. Wish S&W would move their production plants to TX.

Colorado sent a message at the polls. Costing over-reaching politicians their jobs is the best thing to do. Fortunately, many of the young are wholly disappointed in the promise of the current administration and almost as wrankled at the erosion of personal freedom as we who grew up in a different US. They can be mobilized and must work to protect their own future.

I had a long winded post I just deleted but without being political.

To win office today, just offer the most free stuff.

The scales have tipped, we lose :(

Gun laws are a symptom not the disease.

Dont fight symptoms, fight the disease...

Sure wish I could "Like" this a dozen or more times...

We are losing our rights by this corrupted government

I thought I'd share a video of myself talking about what is really going on. We are actually to be disarmed in the future. It's going to happen because the people who have control of this Nation, are our global controllers. They want American freedoms destroyed now.

Reading through this thread begs the question, what if you reload? Can you buy components on line or across state lines if you live in CT?

My sympathies :( Texas is the goal for the anti's, that's why they(the anti's) fight voter ID laws.

Precisely. The Left is on a mission to "flip" Texas. Think it can't happen? It wasn't all that long ago that California was with us. Look at it now. Bottom line? If Texas goes blue, stick a fork in the rest of the country. The Left will have locked up National elections for the foreseeable future. Doesn't take a Ph.D to figure out what'll happen then.

Are people actually paying attention to what's happening on the border?

Some states are clearly violating the 2nd Amendment. Sounds like an incredible profit can be made in the black market. Someone will step up to the plate.
