I've learned more in three days about how eagles nest and raise their young than I've ever known. Pretty fascinating, especially when the fend off the predators like squirrels, ravens, and owls in the middle of the night. The camera is 24/7 with IR lighting at night so to not disturb. They may get dumped with snow in the next couple of days.

Watching Shadow and Jackie is a wonderful escape from the news stories of the current times. I've been following them since the nest building.
They endured heavy snow & wind about a week ago.

The sad part of multiple births is the pattern of the dominant fledgling often pushes siblings out of the nest to perish. "Survival of the Fittest". Happened here in Oregon, as we monitored progress.

True. But, multiple hatchlings raises the odds of at least one survivor. It's part of Nature's process.

My wife and I have been following them for three years. She frequently gives them quite vocal advice on how to be better eagle parents.
