Can’t stop buy stubbies- SW model 38 flat latch 2 inch- shipped Oct 1959

Ok, this is like eating potato chips- you can't stop with just one. Just arrived today my 1960's era SW Model 38 airweight. It has holster wear but does not appear to have been shot much- still tight. And lock up is very good.

So I got this as a pocket carry gun- so they question is "should I touch up the rub spots on the alloy frame?,. I did get the box and instructions with it and it has stock grips. Only paid $375 so not overly concerned about keeping it as a collectors item.

Records show it shipped from the SW plant Oct 1959.

Given the low price, *I* would opt for a po-fessional refinish job, IMO. Maybe some nice rosewood grips? Or some red tinted VZ grips?

My 38 is a no-dash model. I used to carry it in an ankle holster when I did late night maintenance runs when I worked in the projects. Thankfully, I never had to pull it.

Just found out it was shipped from SW Oct 1959, so maybe worth keeping as is. I did order a set of hogue boot grips for it.
