Car insurance company tracker beacon discount?

I have been with Liberty Mutual for quite a while. Never have they ever asked me about putting in a tracking device.

Course for many years I had a Corvette on my policy, possibly that is the reason they did not bother trying for the spy device!:D

I have the tracker via cell phone with USAA. I also drive decent and get 30% off my premium. No harsh braking and when I drive I don't fiddle with my phone. In fact I often wander around without my phone. I regularly go over 80mph. They look for harsh braking and cell usage.

Hard to track a guy when he is around huge areas that have no signal. Besides, I am not the most interesting man in the world. I have found the majority of my driving never even shows up on the app.

If your a big brother worry wart, you can buy a Faraday bag for your phone for just $10. Once your phone is inside one nobody can track it.

They can only track your device not you.

I have the SF app and I have had it about 3 years. Sometimes they come by at night and snoop in my truck. Sometimes they leave the windows down and they turn my radio way up. Or they turn the windshield wiper on for no reason. I swear I think they take it out and drive it around and use all my diesel fuel.
But on the flip side I saved $373.02 for six months. I have a Road King that's on the policy but not tracked. I pay $142 a month for the truck the Harley a policy on my condo and a flood policy since I live on the first floor.

We use a Vector app at work to report safety hazards and violations. It uses the data as a predictive tool to identify incidents that may occur. Nobody is held liable. Ladders are a big source of accidents so they have a ladders last policy.

15 years ago they implemented the gps tracking. The guys that fought it were the ones with the most to worry about. The ones that were not where they were supposed to be during work or stopping on the way home in a company truck where they shouldn't be.

If I asked about this AAA would no doubt want both my wife and I to have the app or tracker. That's not going to work because of the way my wife brakes, and also the way she likes to take the cruise off on a long highway trip to ease her boredom. On both points it is amazing how much lead the girls can pack into those shoes that look to be mostly fresh air and spaghetti straps. From conversations with coworkers, the majority had noticed the same with their wife/significant other.

I will never put or allow a tracking device on mine or my wife's car for a couple of bucks or really any amount.

When a device checks for phone usage while driving, then it is checking for much more than that....Trust me.

I have had a Class A CDL for 26 years...No tickets, no accidents and beyond that official MVR, nobody else's business.

Never invite and literally AGREE to more surveillance for a couple of bucks a month.

Kinda like, let the police search your house whenever you want?....After all, we don't have anything to hide right?

No way brother...I have seen both sides of that and I can tell you to never willingly invite the man into your life.

Only if you're living in the police house. If you're driving a company pickup, I'd say you need to do what they say.

Except the first 3/4 of the post was not about a company truck, it was about a personal vehicle and how much money was saved by letting them install the firmware allowing them to parse every bit of your personal driving habits.
