Howdy folks,

I've been a lurker the past few weeks since deciding purchase a 15-22. I got a call this morning from Turner's informing me that they have the M&P 15-22 with the carbon stock. My deposit was for a 15-22 with the standard stock. Can anyone enlighten me as to the difference between the 2. Couldn't find any info. Thank you.

Take it. I don't know the difference in stocks, but you'd do well to grab it while you can. If you don't like the stock, just replace it.

Maybe the store misunderstood the markings on the box... the barrel is carbon steel (carbon st.?) and the buttstock is collapsible (co. stock?)

The one in stock is the standard. I put an order on for the MOE. Still waiting

Well, you can buy rifles/shotguns with carbon fiber furniture, i.e. Browing Maxus, Benelli Supersport, Browning BPS, M1A/M14, etc...

I was referring it to never hearing of a 15-22 carbon stock. Yes I'm aware on other firearms that's a option but he was talking about a 15-22 of which I'd never heard of that option.

If teh price was right I probably got the std. You can still find the MOE furniture.

The MOE was on sale as well when I put my deposit (actually I didn't even realize it was the MOE - thought it was the Standard that was for sale). The Standard they had in stock was on sale for $10 cheaper. The Standard doesn't have a threaded muzzle so that would be an extra cost for me to get it done on top of purchasing the Magpul BUS and stock. Plus the MOE has the single-point sling attachment from the factory.
