If you don't have a set of these little cast iron pans you are missing out. Makes Great muffin tops. A box if Jiffy mix fills 5 pans. When they are done hold upside down and tap the bottom of the pan with a butter knife the muffins drop right out. ( Be sure to preheat and butter the pans).

Great for making round eggs for English muffin sandwihiches too.

I keep a pair of channel lock water pump pliers in the kitchen for handling hot cast iron and cookie sheets. (Bought brand new, and never used for plumbing).

I usually cook corn pone in a cast iron skillet.
I also have 2 cast iron corn-stick skillets, sometimes use them.
Found the picture-
Recently made some Beef Stew, Baked some Cornbread.
Both in Cast Iron Skillets.

For stove top baking. Take two skillets, heat both, use one on top for a lid. Like a Dutch oven.

Only have the one.
Great for mushrooms and onions on the grill for the steaks, couple eggs etc. etc. etc.....
May have to look for 2 or 3 more.

If you can fit two eggs in yours, it is bigger than these. They are only 3.5 inches across. Same size as an English muffin. Good thing is they are less than $4. each. One egg fills each one.

Griswold made something like that as a chicken fryer. The bottom skillet was deeper than the top skillet. Griswold skillets would probably survive a nuclear blast so if you keep looking you may find one.

Now I get the picture.
My smallest skillet is 6 inches. Seems to get used most often.
Are the 3.fivers made by Lodge?

Don't get new cast iron get old at Antique shops, auctions, garage sales. New the surface is to porous, old nice and smooth.

Yes. Made by lodge. I thought they were a novelty, until I started using them. Great for individual servings of stuffing too.

That 6 inch pan is a nice size to have around.

The old ones are nice, but the new stuff cooks good too.
