Cat put to sleep

They come and go and all are different. They are soothing and comforting and will become as much of your life as you will allow. In time I hope you give another the chance to become the next Leo.

Our precious furry loved ones rely on us for absolutely everything, including knowing when it's "that time". And when it is, we have an absolute obligation to do the right thing. Rest well knowing you did exactly what needed to be done. MrsB and I send our heartfelt condolences for your loss. Rest in peace, Leo.

My daughter had her cat Taffy, put to sleep last Sunday, 6/10/18. The old girl had cancer , wouldn't eat, and my daughter didn't want her to suffer anymore.

Our 18 year old cat, Leo, was put to sleep today. ... He will be dearly missed.
Been there, done that too many times. I feel your pain and am sorry for your loss.
Our last was our mighty Webster, last October. He had a habit of giving my wife a little 'kiss' - a touch with his tongue on her nose, whenever he'd get close to her face. He went downhill very fast with kidney failure, and when he could no longer get up, we took him to the vet. My wife held him, and as the vet put the needle in, Webster summoned his last bit of strength, rose up to give her a 'kiss', then collapsed and died.
Unconditional love. That's what we get from a good pet, cat or dog.
Lordy, I miss him.
Here's mighty Webster, all 17 lbs of muscle, and a little thing I read at times like this to make me feel better. I hope it helps you too.

I am so sorry to hear about Leo. Thank you for the wonderful life you gave him. Most people wouldn't have it in them to take the time and give the love to an animal with epilepsy. I know he appreciated and loved you for the life you gave him.

It is a hard decision to make when it is time to let go. As hard as it is, just know deep down inside you did what was best for him. I know he knows.

Wishing peace for your family.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure Leo knew you were with him at his last moments. Those who never had pets will never experience the joy these furry critters can bring into someones life. Be thankful for all the good times you spent with Leo.
