CCDW turnaround time for KY (Jefferson County)

Just wanted to give some info for any fellow Kentuckians getting their CCDW. I took the class last Saturday in May, received the course certificate June 11th and took it to the Sherriffs office (Jefferson County) the next day. They informed it would be 8-9 weeks before it would be ready, and I just picked it up on the 20th of July. So from sitting in class to holding my CCDW it was less than two months. Much quicker than I expected, just wanted to let everyone know.

Congrats and consider yourself fortunate that it did not take the 8-9 weeks. The Sheriffs dept has no control on how quickly the guys in Frankfort will get their checks and balances all done, so they tell you the maximum time. That way when it comes back in a month everyone is happy.

I took my Cc course middle april, finally got my license early july. nearly 4 months here. The sheriff told me due to a lot of people taking the course lately, and there being only 1 person doing the work, its taking longer now.
