I'm curious to learn how many handguns Forum members generally use for CCW. I'm not talking about NY reloads, nor carry for woods/hiking/etc. Just normal everyday CCW in town, shopping, etc. I have three J-frames in rotation ... 37, 60, and 342 ... and on occasion will go with a 624 snub or 3" 65. If I owned a Night Guard or PD model, it would also be in the rotation. I have set up a poll with various choices, so if you're interested in sharing, please do.

Primary concealed carry, since the early 90s, is a 3913NL.... 90% of the time...... 7+1+ 8rd extra mag.

I sometimes use a 3914(fall/winter) or a PC 6906 (12+1+15 second mag w/ +2) if I want a hi-cap

Every so often...... my Beretta 92 Compact M (single stack 8+1+8) w/ a D-spring or my 92 Compact (13+1 +17)........both great guns but just a little large vs. a 3913/14 for year round concealed carry.
I consider the Compact a "small duty size gun"

All traditional double/single action... w/ decocker in the same location....all worn in Sparks Summer Specials at 4 O'clock.

If I want/need a .45 I go to a Sig 245...... w/ a Sparks at 4 O'clock

If I'm wearing a Tux........ a customized Interarms PPK in .380....... I've had since before the 3rd Generation Smiths were born.........

I don't have a rotation. I ordinarily carry a 2" Model 15. Sometimes my choice of clothing or just being tired of carrying a normal-weight gun causes me to carry a Model 37. I have a few :) other guns, so occasionally one of those gets carried.

I use a 380acp, 9mm or 40 S&W single-stack and I also have a couple double-stacks I use on occasion. The 9mm and 380 single-stacks bear the bulk of my carry load though. I've considered getting a light wheel gun to throw into the mix too, but haven't so far.

At the very least I am carrying my 642-1 inside the waistband.
When I feel like a bit more fire power than five shots, it will be a
Kimber compact 45 acp or my Glock G19. All carried IWB.
I also have a nice holster for a full size 1911 and sometimes carry
my Delta Elite, also IWB.
Never leave home without one.

Just going somewhere and having a carry with me I have at this time an S&WBodyguard.380 with appropriate ammo. I normally do not leave my house without this little blaster in my front pocket (in a pocket holster of course)

Going into the city or venturing into other more questionable territory I up the ante to an XDs.45 in an ISWBH.

I have a few more guns that could and have done a great job as CCW but that is what I’m doing now. In the future might be using a light weight J frame as a casual carry instead of the Bodyguard!

I don't have a carry rotation, my EDC is a nickel 442 w/a speed strip pocket carried. I have an older Model 38 as a back-up if something goes wrong w/the 442 & a Colt Cobra in the safe if the M38 goes down. All of these were acquired over the 30 yrs. I was a working cop and all go to the range often.

I have 3 handguns that I rely on for personal and home protection.
1. Glock #27
2. Smith #36
3. Ruger LCP
Mostly for CCW right now is the Ruger, very easy to just drop in my pocket! ;)

I carry one...a Glock 22 plus 2 extra mags (which are likely unnecessary in a self-sefense situation).

I carry in a Galco KingTuck hybrid at 4 o'clock.

That's the only thing I carry and its the only way I carry. If needed the situation would obviously be high stress, and stress causes mistakes. I don't want to be wasting time trying to decide which weapon to draw, or where to draw it from. When needed you will revert to your most familiar training, and I want that to be one gun, one location...the KISS method.

Currently 4 in the main CCW selection. I won't call it a rotation because there's no set rotation. My primary EDC is my Sig P938. The 642 comes in second, followed by the Sig P250 .40 (excuse it's current state, the trigger assembly is currently residing in the full sized .45 module). The Kahr CW 380 is my latest option and has just passed the break in / reliability testing period.

I have a Shield in .40 that is my primary carry gun IWB with a good cover garment.

When it gets warmer out or I want to tuck my shirt in I will go with an M&P Bodyguard .380 in a Nemisis pocket holster.

I will also ankle carry an M&P 340 J-Frame on occasion.

I have three depending on my mood and where I may be going. Two are primary carry guns with the third mainly as a backup since it's a derringer but there are times when just the derringer is the best choice.

I try to carry the largest caliber my attire will allow. Sometimes that's a full size 1911 and other times it's a J-Frame. I have at least half a dozen pieces that fall in between.

Colt Commander 80% of the time.

M 38 the rest of the time.

I have 'back up' M38's and Colts but since they're interchangeable, they don't count.

I'm not a 'rotation' kind of guy: I want the same weapon in the same place all the time. When I want to play with my other handguns, I do it at the range.

I carry one of eight government model 1911s in either .45 ACP or 10mm as a primary and one of two Sig P938 pistols as a pocket BUG plus a spare magazine for each.

How does that Kahr compare to the 642 in size? In that shot the.380 looks larger than I thought.
