Cell phone, concealed or open carry

That, combined with people walking around wearing a bluetooth and talking out loud, especially if its on a crowded elevator or someplace like that. It drives me wild and makes me want to walk up to them, rip that thing off their ear and smash it with my foot  !
I have blue tooth capability with my hearing aids, that will really make people question my sanity since it looks like I'm talking to myself.

BTW, have a NIB "state of the art" Jawbone Era Bluetooth earpiece and an Otter Box Defender case for iPhone 4 available. MUCH better $$$$$$ than retail. In "For Sale" section.

Be safe.

I definitely concealed carry.... I always put it in my purse (by now I hope you guessed I'm a girl...). It is strategically placed inside the purse so that when it rings, which by the way the phone is usually set in "silent" mode, I never get to hear it or answer it. I kind of like it that way but my family and friends don't think is very useful.
I agree the smart phones have gotten cumbersome. that's why I got the purse

I don't carry a cell phone 99% of the time. When I do, I stick it in my coat pocket. I never hear it ring and I never call anybody.
Handy little item..

I have to carry my iPhone "exposed" on my left hip. It is my personal/work phone that I get emails and reports on it all day.

Now lets talk bout cell phone pet peeves.........you know like your kid has a cell phone "permanently attached" to them but you try to call them........no answer.

You text them......no answer.

But when they are home, you can't even carry on a face to face conversation because they are heads down texting...all...the...time.

I lean toward the open carry when it comes to the cell phone, hooked to my left front pocket near my EDC knife. I don't own a smart phone, I don't text, I don't twitter, it's not a GPS, and my phone doesn't take pictures. The only thing my phone can do is make and recieve phone calls. The phone is a flip phone and it never rings because only only 4 people have the number.

With my mode of carry I access the phone in a heck of hurry to call my local firearms enabler or local dealer of fine spirits.

iPhone concealed in left pocket. Then when I have it on silent, it vibrates and I jump a foot in the air! Goes into concealed purse (along with my S&W) for church as pockets are very limited on my skirts and dresses.

I mainly use shirt pocket carry and sometimes front pocket carry. Why do we have to carry so much stuff; phone, knife, keys, revolver, speed strips, wallet, etc? Ladies really have it made, they can carry a big purse. If it was acceptable for me to carry a purse, I'd carry my Glock 21 and 4 or 5 magazines.

Sometime next week, I'll be trying out a cell phone case from a holster maker and giving him feedback on it. I'm anxious to try it as there is no really good way to carry a larger cell phone.

My daughters are fond of telling me, "Dad, a cell phone is not a fashion accessory!"

Just me, but I always viewed those carrying their phones in a holster on their belt th same way I used to view the nerds with their calculators on their belts and a pocket protector. Sorry
I carry my phone in my suit coat pocket or pantses

Ouch. That was me in high school/college, but it was a slide rule, not a calculator. You forgot the black horned-rim glasses, crewcut and white shirt/skinny tie. Did I mention the briefcase?

Yup - my cellphone is in a belt holster.

:D

I've carried a cell phone for 15 or so years, and I still don't like them. I started with "open on the belt carry", but quickly switched to C.C.P. as I got tired to total strangers asking me to let them use my phone.

I carried a Razr flip phone in a belt holster for 7 years and no problem. I got an iphone 4s for Christmas and haven't figured a way yet to be comfortable carrying it.

I guess I need to get me a new suit that fits so I can carry it in my pantses.

Did that sound right?

I want to conceal an XD-s .45 in a eye phone nerd holster.

Any suggestions?

Seriously.

No I don't have a smart phone.

The question is....do you carry cocked and locked, thereby living in constant fear of the dreaded "butt dial"? Or does your phone have safety features to ensure that it can never happen?

How do I carry my phone? What phone, I don't have any phones, I lost all mine in a boating accident years ago... Oh, oh, we're talking phones, not guns...

OK, I'll play. First, I'm sorry, but I find it straight-up goofy to carry a phone on a belt holster. Of course, for those that do carry this way, it looks really cool on you. ;). I'm sure it's more practicle/convenient on the belt, and I'd imagine a skirt must be more comfortable than pants, but I'm not going to wear one... I've got an iPhone 5, it's very slim, and I carry it in my front shirt pocket, or inside suit coat when working. Off duty, I carry in my back pants pocket.

This being said, me and Mrs. DMAR took the kids to the mountains a few weeks ago, and a group of us went sledding. So long story short, back pocket carry is not recommended when sledding; cracked glass! I don't mess around, I sled hard! Had to buy a replacement iPhone, not happy. YMMV.

i hate carrying. "they" always want to look at it and talk about it.
