Cheapest .357 Mag?

Check out Ammoseek.com, they refine pricing on websites daily. BVAC is the cheapest plinking right now, PMC the cheapest HP.

Try "LoadX" in California they have new and reloads. And will discount even more if you send them your brass.

Cheapest I can find is Fiocchi 142 grain FMJ for $18/50. Need to order some myself. Thankfully my father-in-law is supposed to be bringing me some reloads at christmas. Buying factory ammo adds up in a hurry.

Enjoy,
Ryan Z.

First, assess your needs for the ammo - what does it have to do. THEN, look for price. Buy ammo that does not suit your needs is a lot more expensive than you think.

Take a look at the CCI® BLAZER™ 357 Mag 158gr JHP #3542. It's about $21.00 for a box of 50rds. At that price you can practice with the ammo you carry. I shoot it in my J and K frame 357 Magnums. It is inexpensive, accurate, and very low recoil. It's a "No Brainer" IMHO. I can't say enough good things about this load!

I've seen this online at a good price, but I've read some reviews on it sticking in the cylinder/hard to extract.

Anybody here have an opinion on aluminum cased ammo for practice?

I've shot BLAZER™ 357 Mag in 6 different (Ruger®, S&W®, & Taurus®) revolvers and sticking cases have never been a problem.

I have shot a good bit of Blazer.357 158gr jhp and it is mild and has given me no trouble extraction. I chronographed some and it did only a little over 950fps from a 3" barrel.

If you have the time and inclination...start reloading. You'll be making some very good ammo for about $11 a box.

WalMart has the Fed 158gr round thats pretty cheap. It was around 22 bucks a box.

K53, I've found that Federal 158 gr ammo really kicks in my 686. What is your experience. I'm looking for something with a little less recoil for target shooting.

Ill tell you when I get a chance to shoot some. :D :D I just tripped over the stuff at Wally World a month or so ago, and havent got a chance to try it out yet. I have some light target loads, and some heavy hunting loads that Im going to compair them to.

For self defense I like the Remington Golden Sabre in the 25 cartridge boxes at sportsman's guide. I have purchased Geco brand in other calibers and like how they look. I bought a box of speer gold dot for bedside load but will practice with the cheaper stuff.
