As late Fall moves towards Winter, I really enjoy taking walks outside. The cold fresh air is always very invigorating for me. When I get home and need something to warm up, I often go for some chicken noodle soup. Always home made. Typically made the night before in a large Dutch oven. Fresh vegetables, herbs, and a hint of sea salt bring the chicken, noodles, and stock to life. I typically pair it with some fresh bakery bread (with sesame seeds) and a little whipped salted butter. Magic!!

What's your "Go To" food or beverage when coming in from the cold?

Looks like chili is getting a lot of votes. I am also a big fan of chili.....

A lot of ground beef, a little ground sausage, and a solid hit of Ancho Chili Powder......

Roasted a whole chicken on Saturday.
Sunday made Chicken Noodle soup, carrots sliced, green onions, celery,Country
egg noodle's, garlic & onion powder, salt & black pepper and white meat
of the chicken. Boiled the noodle's in chicken broth.
Lots of chicken meat so it won't hurt your eyes looking for the chicken... :)

Mine is pressure cooker chicken soup...................

Raw chicken breast cut up into 1/2-3/4" cubes, with 2 cups of home made chicken broth with onion, carrot, celery, bag of frozen peas
and a cup of rice cooked 25 minutes on high.

Broth: Body parts & bones (w/o liver) with onion, carrot, celery S&P and any seasoning or spice that you like. Pour into containers, refrigerate over night and remove hard fat layer the next day.
Pour into ice trays, freeze and store cubes in zip-lok bags for future use.

I am working on home made chili, right now................ still have a quart left.

I also like grilled cheese but add a few sections of yellow onion and mustard for a little zip.
Did I mention a nice BLT ??

Green Chili....

Another Beef Stew guy here.
Also love Green Chili Stew, I usually make it with Pork.
I sometimes make Green Chili Chicken soup with Noodles.
It usually turns out to be Stew. I'm not much of a Soup maker.

I like green chili.... and white chili with chicken.

It looks like you are doing fine as a soup maker. Green Chili Chicken Noodle Soup sounds good. It's your kitchen, you can make it any way you want, whether it's chili, stew, or soup. Or "Chilistoup" for that matter. Keep on Cookin'.
