Circle K is "Unsafe Zone"

I love it when old posts get revived. This is still a relatively hot topic and I concur that preventing gun-toting inside your business, where otherwise legal, may simply invite gun-toters with bad intent.

We vacationed in Viet Nam the first two weeks of July and Circle K has a presence there. Here's one in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). No posted signs but seeing as private ownership of firearms is a federal offense, anywhere, in Viet Nam I'm guessing they don't feel the need to post. The crime rate there is low but certainly not non-existent but there surely is not much firearm-related crime. Communism and its policies see to that. Bryan

I'm curious; does the 'No Guns' sign legally prevent you from carrying in Florida?

Texas has very specific requirements for enforceable signage, I was just wondering.
The way that I understand it, the owners can set the rules for their own property, and that is as is should be. If you violate their posted property you are guilty of trespassing. So if you are caught, you politely leave, with no lip, otherwise you can be charged with the crime of armed trespassing, a felony in this state. Now, I am a plumber, not a lawyer so it is just my opinion.

I also carry everywhere that doesn't have a metal detector at the door, but I am the little old grey man and not a threat to anyone.

Complaining to a store manager of a chain retailer, about corporate policy, is just howling at the moon.
