I'm not sure if it's from muzzle blast issues, or simply a function of a lot of trips in and out of a holster...but the white ring on the Trijicon front sight of my Model 4046 seems to have dulled noticeably. At least in comparison to the white rings on the rear, Novak style, sight.

Any advice on what to use to clean it up...? I'm afraid to use any sort of solvent, of course, but wondered about an alcohol swab, or mild dish soap of some kind.

Snowman I just read the cleaning instructions from a new pair of Trijicons not much help there statement is normal cleaning will not affect the sights. Avoid exposure to strong organic solvents when used in ultrasonic cleaning machines. This is no help at all I know they are painted aluminum wrapped around the vials. You can ship your sights or slide back to trijicon and they will re-lamp them I know a single front sight is about $20.00.

Dip a qtip in some clp breakfree and swab it gently(the Iinside ring area). Cleaned my old trijicons up nicely.
