before doing any major take down, try flushing the fire pin block with Gun Scrubber. It's a cleaner not a lube. Don't forget to relube any thing wet by this stuff. The pin will be dry and clean.

I didn't think you were trying to change me, my wife gave up on that decades ago. This is one of the problems with forums, can't always get a read on the other person. Everything is good. Just trying to show that the M&P isn't fragile by any stretch of the imagination.
