Rusty, the best coffee in the country is only 60 miles or so North of you. My nephew, Patrick, owner of Brother Bear's Coffee is located in Yellow Springs, OH (actually a Springfield Address). He custom blends and roasts coffee that is certified organic and fair traded (so the farmers get their fair share). His coffee is as fresh as it can be. My order is roasted and shipped the same day. He also retails in the local Yellow Springs grocery.

My two favorite blends are Love Light and Bird Song in a city roast or full city (I get both in both roasts). For a change up I have him roast Ethiopian and Tanzanian, usually in full city. He also does French, Italian roast or what ever kind of roast you want. You decide. Tell him what your tastes are. Patrick has been roasting coffee for many years. I was buying 10 pounds at a time, but he recommended I only get five at a time so my coffee is even fresher. It's only me that consumes it in our house. Do I have a bias? You bet, but you can't find better coffee anywhere.

I have to go with Black Rifle Coffee on this one.
It has that taste of "over roasted" Starbucks, and it's a veteran owned company.
I signed up for the monthly mail drop. It would be way cool if it could be parachuted dropped in, but I'll have to settle for a box left on my doorstep by a commie postal worker.

I don't know if Cecil Taylor is still around. I met him in YS years ago. Pat's operation is a small one and he runs two other small business' there. I just had my afternoon cup.

Gave up coffee and went to tea, English or Irish. I really like Barry's...but I am told locals think it's the worst (they used other terms of endearment). Have a cup with a splash of milk and limited sugar.

Like the Australians say about Fosters beer. Sheep dip water, among other terms of endearment.

I was never a drinker of that stuff but, it was cheap and you could get that big "oil can" size it was popular with the budget-minded kids.

Brings back a lot of memories: Chase & Sanborn or Hills Brothers in a percolator with my folks in the 60s. Some brand I don't recall boiled in a pot or empty coffee can over a fire in Saskatchewan in the 70s. Folgers in a Mr. Coffee in the 80s and a roller coaster of just about every other brand mentioned by every brew method known to man since. About a month ago I stumbled on a sale on ground Chock Full o' Nuts. The Sbucks and Caribou whole bean and pods have been gathering dust since and I didn't send another order to Black Rifle. Nothing in it but hot water and grounds. Forgot how much I liked that stuff. When we get another 10 degrees of temperature a french press cup with this stuff will be going on the deck with me Saturday mornings. Until then 2 scoops in a wire basket in the pod pot makes a fine cup of coffee.

I'm down to 2 to 3 cups a day from my max of 10 to 12 when I was working graves, so I want to enjoy what I drink.

Coffee, I like the McCaffe also, I like the red label regular. Its decent in K cups too. The other that is good is the Green Mountain Breakfast Blend.

I keep an eye on prices and when it gets low enough I buy several big boxes.

I like 8 O'clock coffee, the wife is not a fan.

I drink it black and no sweetener like many of you.

My wife LOVES Nespresso, we have the little and big machines.

I am not a fan of flavored coffee so, meh.

Another gun-friendly brand is Double Barrel Roasters. They are located a few steps away from a Kimber plant too.

Folger's 100% Columbian in the morning, thru my trusty Bunn coffee maker. For single cups during the course of the day, the Keurig gets the call. Picked up some Black Rifle Beyond Black pods yesterday.

Didn't know they had K Cups(BRBB) gotta try it now. When I was working, had to get up 4am to be there 6 am. So Keurig became my one and only brewer. It's fine for me. I try all different flavors. Like Gloria Jeans Hazelnut and VanHoutte vanilla Hazelnut. Recently went to ocean state job lots and picked up a box of Jim Beam Bourbon Vanilla k cups. Nice deep dark flavor... My new favorite, but I'm going to order some BRBB now that I know they make k cups too.

Had some contractors doing work at my job. One of the guys was going up on a scissor lift to do some work. I watched him spend 5 minutes making out of cardboard a coffee cup holder. it was sturdy work. Held his cup easily and even had a little articulation to avoid spills. JUst as he was finished with it and was ready to go up, I said to him,"You must be a Navy Chief." He said he was and then asked how I knew. I said they're the only ones that care that much about their coffee. He started to take offense and I held out my hand and thanked him for his service. That cupholder was a thing of beauty though.

We're heavy duty coffee drinkers, and have recently found "Kirkland Premium 100% Columbian Dark Fine Ground" to be excellent. Sold at Costco.

CDM is good but for my coffee with chicory I prefer French Market. Gotta have it either black or with scorched milk like they do at the original resturant. Gods elixir. FUnny thing this comes up as I was discussing with the missus the other night that one of the things I really missed was the old breakfast of champions. black coffee with chicory and a couple of Marlboros-GAWD that could jump start the dead!!

It is what New Orleaneans grew up drinking., Now you can get it throughout the States but back when, if you moved any distance away you could kiss yout chicory coffee goodby and get used to drinking normal coffee and it wasn't "burnt" roasted neither

When I lived in Colorado in the 60's my go to coffee was MJB. Since then I am pretty basic; Folgers or Chock Full of Nuts.
