Well, it is a shape of the grip from the back view
1950s through Mid1960 era on N frames grips mainly 44 magnums I’m just giving you the minor details. I’m sure somebody will come along and get really technical.IMG_4998.jpeg

Cokes were technically known as oversized target grips. aside from the mild, dual palm swells which give them the nickname, they also have a larger checkered area and a more oval profile when viewed from the bottom. Used only on the early .44 Magnums and then later on the model 57 when it was introduced.

Aside from getting very lucky on eBay, Roger's Grips & Guns may have a set, but that is where the $800 price tag comes from. Out in the wild, $450 - $600 is more common, but prices keep going up. I have purchased at least one gun just to get the Cokes that adorned it - of course it was a nice gun too, but the main impetus was the grips - which was like getting a huge discount on the gun. That was a 6" Model 27-2. Then there is the nickel Model 57 shown in this thread and my premiere set is on my 1950 HE Target .44 Special.

Adios,

I need cokes . I need a pre something with cokes.. anything will do.
29 or 27 I guess.
Earliest I have are k frame non cut diamonds.
I have a 68 with diamond targets. The slighting smaller and more smoothly rounded football cuts.
But no cokes.
