Why do we feel compelled to collect stuff?

Whenever I get an interest, the collecting starts.
I get into wood working, now I have a collection of hammers, routers, saws, ect...
Climbing? Bunches of climbing gear. Harnesses, shoes, ropes, slings, anchors, etc...
I have a large closet full of various backpacks, tents, bivy bags, camp stoves, water filters and bunches of other camping gear.
I'd have a huge collection of guns if I could afford them.

Now it's cigars.
Got a coupla humidors filled with sticks.

All I really need is one cutter and one ligher right?
Course not! Now I have a cigar box that seems to be accumulating them and I'm eyeballin' more of each.

Ordnanceguy posted a thread on a S&W Zippo.

Now I'm searching eBay and looking at different design Zippo's to collect.
I have two already and converted them to butane for lighting cigars. One with a soft flame and the other with a double torch flame.

Oh well, I guess it's better than just sitting and collecting dust.

Why didn't I know about these conversion kits when I was still a smoker? :(

Oh, well. Probably just as well.

Started woodworking several years back. I now have several hundred board ft of hickory, mahogany and oak. The problem is I have no room to build more furniture.

Back in my cigarette smoking days a disposable Bic style lighter was all I used.
I quit smoking cigarettes about 18 years ago but still smoke an occasional cigar.
However, a disposable Bic style lighter's not good enough for lighting cigars.
Gotta have something with "style" with a cutter to match.
