Dagnabit, I accidentally deleted everything I wrote.......
Okay, for those who don't know, quickly, and I just thought all this through myself whilst talking to a friend, the Colt Magnum Carry was only made for a short while, which is too bad because it was likely one of Colt's better ideas in the not too distant past. Anyway, as far as I can tell, they're as rare as hens' teeth and command 2000 dollar price tags and up.
They weigh 25 ounces.
My question - what S&W model "compares" to that? Not just presently but if one was to go out to buy a comparable S&W what would one be looking for?
All steel J-frames range from around 19 or 20 ounces to 23. All steel K-frames, as far as I can tell, are always more than 30 ounces. So, for folks who know these details, which S&W is closest to the Colt Magnum Carry, regardless of current production or out of production.
Thanks.
