Completed my M&P collection today. Already had a M&P 22, M&P shield in 9mm, and M&P 45. Traded my G34 for an M&P 9 with apex trigger with a co-worker today. Not going to get the 40. I had a couple 40's and sold them off for other pistols or ammo. Focusing all of my collecting on 9mm and 45 auto.

Very nice,I would however say that you want to see if a range near you rents the M&P40 for range time.I only say this because I have an XD40 and find it kind of snappy,and I tried an M&P40 at the range near my house and it shot much better than my XD does.I will eventually trade my XD40 in for the M&P40 as soon as I can,but that will have to wait until after the first of the year for I just spent the rest of my allotted gun money for the year Saturday when I bought three guns.
I also have a nice M&P collection started as of Saturday I now have 4 M&P's all of which are in 9mm,but I intend on having almost all of the M&P line except the VTAC and the CORE.I am still up in the air about getting the bodyguard.

You just have to get one of the compact models in your collection.... They are really nice too!

Yes you have to have a 9C. I shoot it more than my FS. Its my HD and I love it.

I work part time at a local gun shop and we do have a M&P 40 rental. Not a bad idea to have at least 1 40 in the safe. Maybe I'll shoot it next weekend. Not going to get a compact just because it would be a waste. Having the shield I wouldn't carry it and for range shooting I like the full size pistols. I will post pics when I get a chance.

As much as I love my Shield if I could only have one Id keep my compact 9. Its small enough to EDC and with the 17 round mag it is a great HD weapon. Hope it never comes to it but the compact 9 M&P is the most versatile of the 3 M&P 9's.
