Concealed carry with gym shorts? Shield. Or carry a TCP?

The tcp is a fine little lite pistol But if you have to ask what others think I'll say you should figure out what handgun works best for you But at least have on funny underwear !!

Welcome back to the Forum, IrishPsych. It's a shame that you have to list on your CCW license which firearms you plan to carry...and that you're limited to 3! But that's just an unfortunate fact of where you live. Here in Florida, with the high heat and humidity most of the year, we tend to dress for the tropics...shorts, t-shirts, polo shirts, etc. I tend to carry lightweight firearms as comfortably as possible. For me it's usually a Model 642-2 or a PC Shield Plus 9mm in a pocket holster (leather or Sticky holster) in the front pocket of my shorts. I also carry a spare mag or TUFF quick strip in the other pocket with my knife. Several options out there for you to choose from. Good luck.

I can’t wear gym shorts.I can’t find a pair long enough to where my barrel doesn’t hang out the bottom.

Thunderwear, smart carry, and I think a few other brand names with similar products will conceal and support much more than the micro autos.

I have carried J frames , Kahr PM9 and bigger guns Ina smart carry with my gym shorts. Covered thousands of miles with that set up.

LCP Max in an IWB holster with a monoblock metal clip. The monoblock clips on tight enough, even with no belt, there are no issues drawing or the holster coming off.

I'm not a fan of pocket carry, ever, and it keeps my pockets open for other things.

I am biased... but the choice of weapon is not your issue, method of carry is.. figure that out first then choose...

The shorts aren’t the limiting factor, it’s your shirt.

I carry my Shield in a Kydex holster and one of those “tactical” belts; disappears under a loose T shirt regardless of what pants I’m wearing.

I have done the same exact thing for years. The setup works great in the winter with 'warmups'/'sweatpants.' Well, actually, my holster is a one of those small leather OWB holsters on the tactical belt. Just looked. My holster is a DeSantis for the Shield.

Well, I'd rather go unarmed than carry a gun over my ****-that is an accident waiting to happen with that single action pointed at Mr. Happy

At least a single action CAN be cocked and locked. Some of the striker fired piece, fully cocked and UNLOCKED scare the stuffing out of me🙄. Personally I still believe you never, ever, point a weapon at anything you’re not willing to shoot😳. You have an ND while reholstering in that position you’ll bleed out before you can get help even if you’re in the hospital parking lot. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Uh, no. I don't see any way that you can do serious exercise at the gym with a concealed firearm. Situps, bicycles? Really doubt that.

How about taking a shower? Don't want to expose the firearm and then lock it up in a cheesy gym locker.

If you feel a need to carry in a gym, time to find another gym. Don
