This is what happens when this country votes in a left wing liberal as president. Now congress is all liberals, them along with the president are trying to turn our country into a socailist country and do the best they can to strip us of our rights and freedom.I think we all need to stand together and fight against this nonsense and let them try to take our pets from us.

There are many things in the world of today that should be worried about-this does not appear to be one of them.
Because some moron introduces a bill in no way means it will become law, and does not indicate that Congress, as a whole, will ever be supportive.
If this bill gets lots of representatives signing on as sponsors, then it's time to worry.

Waste of money,,,, Keeping Govt workers working is a big expense paid for by us tax paying citizens weather we like it or not.... SHAMEFUL.....

Problem is, there are a couple hundred other equally ridiculous bills in Congress. Sooner or later, one of them is going to slip through unnoticed.

ETA: Case in point, the ban on lead in toys. So now the motorcycle industry is on the brink, as sales of small bikes meant for kids are a large part of their business. No one thought this one through; they just passed it because it was "for the children."

OMG,have you seen whats going on in the everglades? sub-tropic climate, foreign species=disaster. so,somethings may seem far fetched, to those that havent't seen foreign e invation. you might not understand these problems! no, I don't hug trees! i wished there was open season on all foreign invators. sorry 4 the typos,my tiping and spelling leave a lot to be desired

How ironic when i post things about guns in a unrelated forum people say the same exact thing.

Bottom line your freedoms are being taken away.

BTW I make a living of breeding high end kingsnake morphs.

Here is a reptile show. LOOK FAMILIAR?

These show are going on every weekend all over the country. Just like the gun shows.

Or maybe you guys think only guns are popular?

This is over reaction to the chimp attack last month. You have to admit, some people do have some pets that really aren't, let's say..intelligent choices for a pet. But, this is all subjective. One man's python is another man's scurge. Personally, I'd like to see many of the animals people consider pets banned. Chimps are an example. If the animal has to be released or put in a zoo after it matures (or is poisonus), I don't think it should be a pet.

I don't know about anyone else?
But I think I've just about had enough of the 21st century, thank you very much...
How did the species ever survive for untold generations, prior to the arrival of the enviro-nazis?
When they came for the Jews I said nothing. When they came for the Catholics, I said nothing, etc., etc., etc. Yes, I get it...

Wasn't it Jefferson who said something like "if left unchecked, government will seek to control every aspect of our lives"?

What goes around comes around. If you scroll down in the above link, there is some sort of law about mandatory cat licensing and vaccinations. The poster sounds like us- Cat taxes, cat registration, etc. Now they are starting to realize what WE have put up with for years!

Bub

So does this mean I have to give up my Japanese dog?

The OP is right - there is no aspect of our lives that the government does not seek to control.

I have two examples of the most useless creatures God ever put on this earth. The revenuers are free to take them at any time. I speak of my wife's and my daughter's cats. Tigger and Kibbles by name...

Unfortunatly for you the bill is for all animals except for dogs, cats and goldfish. If you kid has hamsters and they have babies you are breaking the law. You are allowed to keep the animals you have but can not give away, sell or breed.

Death grip, welcome to the forum.

Now,...yes, I've been to the Everglades and understand exactly what's going on there.

Now are you trying to tell anyone that you support that kind of legislation?

Yes, there are problems, but that is BS! There is no defense for any of that. That is purely the product of a dim witted whack job.

Please don't tell me you agree with that?
