Considering Apex Trigger

I have had an SD9VE for about five months now and carry it everyday. I love this gun very much, from the capcity to the easy of carry and lets not leave out the price. I have put close to 1,000 rounds through it without a problem so I should add reliability to that list as well.

The question I have is for those that have replaced their triggers. I do not might the weight of pull but the break is not smooth at all, it is somewhat jerky and so I was wondering if installing the new apex trigger would help this. Will it make it smoother? I also am curious to know if this is a job I can handle. I am not a gunsmith but am somewhat mechanically inclined. Thanks for the help.

It will make the break easier to stage and improve the overall feel. I would also get the spring kit and polish your trigger/sear contact points, this will give you the best feel you can possibly get as of right now.

Thanks for the replies. What would be the difficulty rating to replace the trigger and springs?

You might want to check out their videos and decide if you could do it.

SD Spring Kit Install

Trigger Install

The latter video shows the installation of the AEK trigger for the M&P series but the procedure is the same for the SD.

On a scale from 1 - 10 with difficulty increasing I would give the spring kit a 2 and the trigger a 3.
