The wife and I cooked up some bacon for a BLT.

Man that looks good, and 2 of my favorite food groups.

You need some big shrimp.
Use Regular cut thickness bacon and thawed raw shrimp.
Then cook hot oven, 425F,
Also helps to use a grill in your pan, so the grease can get away.
Cook 10-15 minutes.
This is one you need to watch!
The trick is to get the bacon cooked, but dont overcook the shrimp!
I tried to Marinate with the Thai Sauce, not much was actually absorbed.

Speaking of the Thai Sweet Chili Sauce -
Having always liked spicy food, when I got to Thailand I was in Duroc Eden! Poland -China Paradise.
Love that food.
Easy one you can try -
Dice some cabbage large, like 1 inch
Pour in and toss some Thai Sweet Chili Sauce
Just enough to slightly coat the cabbage.
Might add some black pepper, probably not any salt.
Let it sit for a while
This works great with all meats
Especially good with Game!
You can find different brands of the Chili Sauce in supermarkets, Oriental Stores, etc.
This is the one I use.

You can make your own chili sauce: garlic, sugar and fresh chilies mashed up with mortar and pestle.

That does it, Pilgrim. Next time I'm in your area, I'm comin' to see you at dinner time! I'd eat cardboard wrapped in bacon! But shrimp? Oh yeah!

And I'm gonna try that cabbage and Thai sweet chile sauce very soon!!

I love Shrimp and Thai Basil with a hot sauce.

Doing Thai Red Curry with Chili Friday (I'm off and will be cooking for "date night"==fried rice & home-made egg rolls and Crab Rangoon (Friend gave me some Dungeness he caught).

I do bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer at our "Phantom Restaurants", sometimes. With home-made cocktail sauce: catsup, grated horseradish, splash of Texas Pete's, and fresh lemon juice.

I don't like scallops but my wife says I cook them perfectly.........

That stuff is excellent!

I use it to make Gen. Tso's sauce. Just add a little hoisin sauce to it, then fresh chopped garlic and ginger (sauteed slightly), and presto!

Traditional, maybe not. Tasty, oh yeah!

So I guess I am getting ripped off, when I go to Raley's

and have to pay $5 for just three avocado's.

44 cents.......
must be nice.
