Cool User Names

Actially.....

As a fan of the old tv show Beverly Hillbillies I got this one. When Jethro made his bid for the movie business he chose Dash Riprock for his new macho screen name. Not surprisingly he didn't get very far with it. He wound up if I remember correctly back helpin' Granny bury Elle May's cookin' out in the back yard. :D

Actually, Dash Riprock was Elly May's movie star love interest in a recurring role. The most way out things I remember Jethro being was a 'double'naught' spy, a Hollywood movie director that only had to know three things...

"What's Your Angle?"

"It's your baby." and

"You got it, sweetheart."

Well, ya'll could probably figure mine out. I like snubbies.
I'm also know as NightTrain on some other forums. No real reason for it. Somebody just called me Night Train one day and it stuck. I did finally try a bottle of Night Train wine once. Nasty stuff.

snubbyfan sure beats gimpy injun!:D

Just a little thread drift. The band "Better Than Ezra" chose their name based on the fact that the big local band at the time was named "Ezra". Thought this was pretty funny.......you may now return to your regularly scheduled program...............

My online screen name was mentioned; I have told before how I came by that 'handle' but perhaps some of the new people haven't run across that story. I cowboyed on my Uncle's ranch while I was in my teens. My cousin stayed with us in town (Las Vegas). We brought our favorite horses home and kept them in the town corrals. We supplemented our feed and shoeing bills by roping wild burro youngins and selling them for pets. My cousin and I had a sign on our equipment shack, "Burros For Sale, Under 1 year of age for $30." We knew where all the bigger bands of burros ran on the open range in So. Nevada and Northern Arizona. Back then it was totally legal to rope and bring back all the burros one wanted. We two and one other friend were going after a couple of youngins in No. Arizona. My horse was well experienced and didn't need much guidance once the chase was on. I was standing in my stirrups to get a good throw down on a burro. The burro went to the right of a Joshua Tree and I knew full well that my horse would too. Well, he went to the left of the Joshua and I went right thru that tree. Going thru the Joshua tree wasn't so bad, but on the other side I wiped a little cholla cacti right out of the ground with my right shoulder and side. I had shotgun chaps on so my leg wasn't too bad, but from there to the top of my shoulder was full of cholla stickers. My buds came to help as all us desert cowboys carried tweezers for just such an occasion. They were hoorahing me pretty hard as they pulled cholla stickers. My cousin said that from then on I was to be known as "Little Cholla". I told them that I would fight before I was called anything "Little". So, right then and there, I became "Big Cholla". I have used that 'handle' on every thing from CB radio to Sailplane Talk-around channels. It was only natural that I used "Big Cholla" on the internet. ................ Big Cholla

I came up with mine about 15 years ago. I'd started playing guitar a couple years previous, and had a fascination with delta blues. Mine is an homage to one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, Robert Johnson.

I still like delta blues, but for the most part find them to be a little repetitive. My own playing has morphed into what I call, "Muddy meets Metallica".

My real name is Ken, but my friends and family call me Kenny.

Josie Wales: You be Ten Bears?
Ten Bears: I am Ten Bears.
Josie Wales: I'm Josey Wales.
Ten Bears: I have heard. You are the grey rider. You would not make peace with the Bluecoats. You may go in peace.
Josie Wales: I reckon not. I got no place else to go.
Ten Bears: Then you will die.
Josie Wales: I came here to die with you. Or to live with you.
