Credit card whacked again

I just got a notice this morning of a suspicious use of my "gun" card. it was for Pizza Hut. Checked my account and another fraudulent charge of $1000.00. Credit card company was on top of it, but still a pain. Same thing happened a year or two ago.

I use a separate card for gun stuff, auctions etc. At least that way if it is that card we don't have to change a bunch of accounts that we pay with our regular card.

I use a separate card for all recurring monthly charges for the same reason. It's a pain changing all your billing information.

I only have two credit cards, one of them gets hit 4 or 5 times a year, the other card has never been hit. This has been going on for about 10 years now...

I check the accounts on-line at least every other day. Last March I noticed a charge for amazon prime, but I don't have prime. Went back and found I was charged for prime in Feb and March. I guess despite my diligence the prime charge got lost in a dozen or so small amazon charges that were legit.

I call amazon and they confirm, someone used my card to pay for their prime subscription. She absolutely would not tell me who it was. I'm paying for it, but she won't tell me the name of the person who is benefiting from it.

It had been only been six months since the last time, and I had barely gotten things (auto-charges for things like my dental insurance) back to normal, now I had to do it all over again.

We don't use the card in very many places, so with a name I could figure out who or where it's happening. I don't think it's online, I think it's local. I put painter's tape over the numbers because I really think it's a photo thing - someone is getting a picture of the card when I use it. So far it's been good.
