Getting ready to purchase a M&P 9C and noticed it can be ordered with the Crimson Trace Laser Grips or Laserguard. Wanted to get some input/thoughts on the grips or the Laserguard.

I have the ct laser grips on my f/s m&p 9 & LOVE THEM!!!
They are awesome!!

+3 laser grip' why you might ask, a little less flip. However, I have all three versions and all have held zero since I set them!

Viridian CL5 .. light and laser .. rail mounted .. why limit your laser to only one weapon ?? Use mine on both my Beretta and my 40c ..

OP- good question that I've been curious about too. Nit to hijack this thread, but a follow on Q fort house w/ the CT grip- did it change how you grip the gun? Is it significantly different in grip than those w/out the CT grip?

Now to add a little more for thought. The Laserguard comes in green and is $130.00 cheaper. The laser grip comes in red and does cost more.

The Laser Grips uses 2 CR2032 batteries and the Laser Guard uses a single small 1/3N battery. I have a Laser Grip on my 9c and a Laser Guard on my Ruger LC9s and both work very well, but I prefer the one on my 9c. The other consideration is the size of the Laser Grip. It is somewhere between the medium and large back strap. The Laser Grip will fit in any holster, but the Laser Guard requires a made to fit holster.

The Laser Grip on my 9c is almost 8 years old. I remove it when cleaning the gun, but I have never had to re-zero it since new.

Whatever you buy, place a small piece of red tape on the small Allen Wrench that is used for adjusting....makes it a lot easier to find if you drop it.

Good information. Thanks!

I have the Lasergrip my Government 1911, and Laserguard on my Shield. As Lee said, the Lasergrip will fit any holster, and it looks cleaner. I don't think the color makes that much of a difference. You will never see either during the day, and you will see both at night.

I would get the grip over the guard, unless you plan on removing/using the laser on multiple guns. With that in mind, I do not like how the CTLG changes MY grip. It might not yours, but it doesn't allow for as high and tight grip as if it wasn't on the pistol. The laser housing on the right top of the grip pushes my trigger finger/hand webbing out and down. Just my .02.

I have the grips on my 9c as well as several other handguns, revolvers as well as pistols. I have Laser-guards on several others such as the Shield, XDs, and more. I refer the grips over the guard hands down. Holsters are
easier to find and just the aesthetics are so much better.
