Was so happy with my 3913 for carry, that I bought a spare. Recently, took the no new guns, unless they're S&W stainless, pledge. Today stopped by the LGS for some range time and couldn't resist a lightly used CS9s with Trijicons, box and 2 extra mags. Now trying to find an IWB hoslter, preferably kydex. Anyone have any holster advice or any other words of wisdom on the CS9?

I have a FIST Kydex IWB holster for my 457 and it's very nice. Not all that expensive, holds the firearm nicely.

3rd Gen guns can be hard to find holsters for, even Kydex.

Don Hume makes a leather IWB holster that will fit the CS9.

I plan to pocket carry mine, but that's not what you are looking for.

I have a Lefty Lewis - Bell Charter Oak Half Breed Auto Slide - that I had made for my CS40, but it works well also for the 908S Value Line gun as well. Very comfortable and easily concealed.

Edit - sorry, didn't realize this was an IWB discussion. 73

It's not kydex, but I use this one and it's been quite satisfactory:

H715-M W.C.-INSIDE THE PANT HOLSTER
Weapon Model (Fit Code) - Glock 26, 27, 33 (36-1)
Barrel Length (inches) - 3
Finish Type - Plain
Shooting Hand - Right
Choose Color - Black

Good Luck

I would like to thank everyone for their suggestions on holsters. I had done a web search on CS9 holsters without finding much, and am happy that there are options to pursue, especially FIST.

The extra 1/4 inch grip thickness over a 3913 probably won't be an issue for carry. But, am I correct that the only option to get the CS9's grip width down to the same as a 3913 is to trim down the grips for an early 3913 TSW?

Actually, I would recommend using a regular 3913 Delrin grip instead of the early TSW version. The pre-rail 3913TSW with the cutout grip has a slightly thicker frame, which results in a poorer fit to the CS9 when modified. And you are correct that a modified Delrin 3913 grip is the only way to get a slim grip for the CS9.

As far as holsters go, I wound up making my own IWB out of leather, as I couldn't find one that had the belt attachments to the sides of the gun (as opposed to on top of the gun). I sometimes use a sticky holster for the CS9 too, though they tend to move around a bit.

Picked it up and cleaned it up today. A few nicks on the slide, but the barrel, inside of the slide and frame, especially the rails, are perfect. All three lamps on the trijicons are bright, which is unexpected, given the box dates the pistol to September 2002. Hopefully, I am as happy with it after a range trip on Saturday. For those keeping track of prices, paid $349 (box, papers and 3 mags) in Northern Illinois. It also fits (tightly) the Clinger holsters that I have for my 3913s, as well as fitting (perfectly) the Galco leather IWB with retention strap that I have for my CZ83.

CS9 iwb holster.

I too have a 3913 and a CS9. I also have a 6904. They all fit perfectly in an Alien Gear Cloke Tuck. I believe a 3. It's for the third gen S&W I believe for the 3913. Makes no difference. They all fit the same. Very light and comfortable. They have very good customer service. You can call them for advice. Can't go wrong with this holster.

Checked out the Alien you recommended. How do you like the clips? Does the gun shift around? What width belt are you using?

GALCO Stow-N-Go can fit the CS9 if...

I decided to get another IWB holster for my CS9 & having liked the GALCO Stow-N-Go holster my son got for his CSX I was disappointed to see they didn't list a holster for the CS9.

Their CSX holster is too small for the CS9 so I wondered what other pistols were of similar size to the CS9 & might work for it too.

I found GALCO makes a Stow-N-Go model STO800B for several different small pistols, one of which is a Glock 43, which it's listed dimensions are very close to the CS9, so I ordered one on a whim.

Initially the STO800B seemed too tight but I realized that the holster's mouth is reinforced with a metal band wrapped with leather & the CS9's aggressive slide cocking serrations were grabbing on the holster's opening.

A little judicial re-shaping of the holster's reinforced mouth (by inserting the pistol into the holster a little bit at the time & using a small wooden hammer to slowly re-form the opening around the slide's width) & voila!, it fit perfectly with moderate tension & the slide's serration were no longer catching on the holster's mouth.

Lastly I put the factory Hogue grip back on the CS9 & did a little reshaping to the contour of the grip's backstrap & also rounded the heal of the grip to give it a gentler curve so it's less likely to print when appendix carried.

So far I've found the combination comfortable wearing it as AIWB.
