I would like to here what everyone here thinks of the CS9 and CS9DAO. I have been in law enforcement for 15 plus years and used a Glock for 13 of those. I love my Glock firearms and won't ever give them up. That being said I recently came across a CS9 and I bought it and I have grown to really like it. I am actually looking at buying a CS9DAO and wanted to here what people had to say about the two firearms. I would love to here good and bad or whatever you have to say. Thanks for your thoughts.

I carried a Beretta 92/M9 on duty but never a Glock. I did own a Glock for a short period of time.
I love my CS9. I trust it. It eats anything. I never jams. There no controls to master/simplest manual of arms. It is very accurate considering its sight radius. I have had a year of so, and I like enough that I want a spare in case my wife or kid wants it.

I recently acquired one and have been carrying it ever since.No problems at all.It is a great pocket carry.Just waiting on My "Big Dog" grips and a set of Night Sights that are on order and it will be complete..

I have a CS9 and it shoots very well, just like any other 3rd gen SA/DA. As far as the CS9DAO, I have not shot one, but I owned a 4053, which is a DAO and it fired well, trigger pull was long and hard but at the same time smooth (if that makes sense) I guess what I'm saying is you cant go wrong with either, and It comes down to personal preference.

I absolutely love my CS9.As a guy who has small hands the gun just fits me well.I changed the grips to Big Dogs and had night sights installed.I will eat whatever you feed it without any trouble.A great CCW,,,,Mike

I had a CS45 when they first came out during the 90's. I viewed it as a excellent idea that was poorly executed. Smith should have spent a few extra hours on it and made it part of their standard 3rd Generation line-up. Proper factory grips, rounded slide, frame serrations, etc.
The grip length is also a bit off. For many of us, it is too short for a 3 finger hold, and too long for just 2 fingers. I ended up shortening the mags and using flat floorplates. I also milled the slide like a 1911 and fitted 4516 grips.
The good news is that the entire CS line-up is just a reliable as any other Smith. They'll feed empty cases. Recoil is surprisingly mild. I had no problem qualifying on the 25 yard course.
