First, No doubt the CSX will be a winner. It’s the easiest shooting Micro 9 that I’ve ever shot. I’ve only put 100 rounds through it, and the trigger has already lightened up.

My ONLY complaint is that my feed ramp is rough, if not horrible looking, see attachment. I’ve reached out to S&W and at this time the gun cycles fine, but it sure is an eye sore. It’s smooth to the touch, but visually not pleasing. $250 gun, fine, $600, no way.

Any thoughts on the ramp? Leave it alone? Send it in? Qtip + mother’s polish?

No reliability issues? I’d leave it as is. The CSX isn’t a limited production or high dollar pistol so things like the feed ramp “not looking nice” wouldn’t bother me a bit as long as there weren’t any function issues.

The one I handled had a terrible trigger, and when a magazine is fully loaded it would not drop free, like it had bulged at full capacity.

Nothing a couple minutes with a felt bob in a Dremel with some jewelers rouge or mag polish wouldn't clean right up.

After seeing some of the stuff coming out of S&W lately, it looks like some of the angry beavers from Century Arms have found new employment.

I bought mine yesterday and haven’t shot it yet. I have dry fired it quite a bit and the trigger definitely is loosening up.
My feed ramp looks smooth and very polished. Not sure what’s going on with your ramp as that looks kinda rough but if it’s not had any jams I wouldn’t worry about it.
Get 1000 rounds through it. If it doesn’t have any feed issues, I wouldn’t sweat it.

Leave it alone, it meets the primary function of a pistol. It shoots. As for drop free mags when loaded, why is this necessary? S&W is not turning out Korths.

If I have a malfunction, my first action is to slam a reload. Drop the mag and get another one in there. I dont care how many rounds are left in the first one. When I press the mag release I expect the magazine to leave the pistol.

A dremel, felt wheel, and some Flitz will fix that feed ramp right up. Or Qtips and Mother's polish if that's what you have. May not take those swirls out, but smooth as glass is what you want.

Polish it up with a Dremel, polishing tip and some Flitz and roll with it.

So I just picked up a CSX today at a gun show. My feed ramp does not look the same, but it also does not look super smooth. Will polish it up when I get home. Hope to take it to the range in a couple days.

Please let me know the method you use and how it turns out.

So I have to ask what professional firearms training course teaches that?

It saved my bacon in the sandbox.
Dropped a magazine with all the remaining rounds jammed together at the bottom of it out of an M9 and reloaded and it function just fine after that.
Later found I had a broken mag spring. If I had done the “tap, rack, bang” process it would have solved nothing.
The point here is that there are plenty of times removing a partial magazine is advantageous, and the magazine release button should cause said magazine to depart the pistol. “Shouldnt need to do that” is right up there with “shouldnt need my pistol”.

I'm glad it worked for you and you got through it safely.

As for sticking mags, I have to point out Glock, possibly the worlds most widely distributed handgun, are notorious for sticking fully loaded mags. Has not hurt their sells.

That looks rough. It functions, but that isn't normal and I'm curious what S&W has to say about it. Even your less expensive polymer pistols have smooth and sometimes polished feed ramps. I would of contacted them as well.
