Just returned home from an evening business meeting. Wearing one of my Model 36s in a Bell Charter Oak SUMMR HEAT IWB Holster. Why? Light, easy to carry, deadly if needed.

I usually carry either my 9mm Shield, a 640-1, a 340 Sc, a Glock 19 or 26, or a Colt Combat Commander .45 ACP, depending on what I'm doing. Since retiring several months ago, I find I carry my J frames and the Shield the most, unless I'm going to be somewhere where there is a potential for an ebola infected ISIS punk who might decide to get stupid (not real likely around here). Today's carry was my Glock 26 with a spare G17 regular capacity magazine.

40 or 9mm shield in a Blackhawk serpa holster on my right hip. Sometimes there might be a SD40VE occupying that spot in a different serpa holster.

686

4 inch 686-2 with black Rogers on it riding in black Bucheimer Concealer strong side with 158 grain SJHP PPUs. (yeah the last part aint too American but I tried some out before work).

I'm working outside today, carrying a 6" 686+ in a Diamond D Leather Alaska Guide flap-covered holster, strapped on my hip with a Kirkpatrick Leather gun belt.

At first I was a skeptic, but eventually I transitioned from a Glock 19, to an M&P Shield in 9mm. I can honestly say it's more comfortable (for me) to wear extended periods of time, and I'll continue to carry it every day. Paired with a Blackhawk! IWB holster, and you've got a great carry setup in my opinion.
