WOW, what a thread.
What folks do outside of production is always nice to look at
Here are some of mine, others have not been photographed. These are in no particular order
This is just a nice old Auston Behlert Model 25 snubby from the days before Smith & Wesson built N-frame snubbies
Three or four summers ago some youngling at the range was showing off his ne 40 caliber Glock and proclaiming he now had the Hammer of Thor. That put me on the track of building this 6" 1911 chambered for 10MM Auto. The frame came from Caspian and the slide was made by STI. The barrel is a Briley with the titanium nitride bushing. The trigger bow has ball bearings mounted in it and the pistol has a 100% safe 2 1/2# pull. The rear sight is an Aristocrat and we fabricated the front sight for the pistol/cartridge combination. The Thor's Hammer and the Celtic knot pattern on the grips was scrimshawed by Esmerelda
Using an 80% 10-22 style receiver I built this rifle
The stock is from Fajen. I threaded the receiver instead of using the 10-22 style V-block. The barrel was turned form a 22 Match blank then threaded to match the receiver and hand chambered. The FCG is a standard Ruger that has been reworked. This is a fun gun to use on the falling plates or other reactive targets
This is a standard 10-22 that has been dressed up to look like a Thompson. Add a pin striped suit and fedora, then spend Halloween walking around the neighborhood with the kids . . . no one thinks twice
This is just a snub nosed Model 34 that I setup a second cylinder to shoot 22 Magnum with
This semi pinto 627 was set up with a second cylinder chambered in 9x23 Winchester. Obviously it can safely chamber and fire all of the smaller cartridges like 38 Super, 38 ACP, 9x21, 356TSW, 9MM Parabellum, 380 ACP and others.
This 627 V-Comp was also set up with a second cylinder chambered in 9x23 Winchester. I thought that the V-comp in combination with the thicker full moon clips used for auto loader ammunition would make this a really nice Pin gun
Nothing really over the top in the way of custom, I had an extra bonus check a few years ago and had an aspiring engraver work on my PPk, I always wanted an engraved Walther
This SxS shotguns barrels were damaged in a robbery atempt so I cut it down and turned it into this cute little coach gun
A few years back we converted several of our Marlins into take down rifles. Mine is a 45 LC Model 1894. There is a saddle maker out in Colorado, where this style of conversion originated from, that custom makes these beautiful leather cases for the take down guns
This is my first 9x23 Winchester 1911. I built it with a Factory Colt 9x23 slide. Forgive the poor quality 20 year old photo. I need to get it out and re-shoot it
Here is just a simple 1979 Colt Python that had the Eliason Sights installed by the Colt Custom Shop (in the olden days).
A old and ugly looking Ruger 22. We now call these a Mark-I considering that the Mark-II exists. This one was worked over by Volquartsen. They put the short barrel, new sights, thumb based magazine release and of course a trigger job.
And here is my tribute to
Maxwell Smart. A suppressed, snub nosed, Dan Wesson revolver

Of course it is not effective, but it is very 1960s
