If I pull the trigger to rotate the cylinder, but not drop the hammer, and do this 5-10 times, eventually the cylinder locks and I cannot pull the trigger all the way...to drop the hammer. If I fully release the trigger, everything is ok again. What is my issue??

Kind regards...Craig

Probably just short stroking the trigger. The trigger has to return fully for the cylinder stop to function properly.
Do you have an OEM rebound slide spring in the gun? A shortened (cut) or aftermarket rebound spring (weak) can contribute to this.

If you've done any internal work & tapped the handle to loosen the cover plate, push down on the rebound slide to make sure it is seated completely. Sounds crazy I know but if it gets jostled out of posistion at all, it WILL cause the trigger to operate properly, causing the cylinder stop to recess, allowing the cylinder to turn freely or cause it to lock up & not release the cylinder.
If it sounds like I speak from experience, it's cause I have.

A couple of other things that can also contribute to this are a loose strain screw at the bottom of the front grip strap and a loose side plate screw. The front side plate screw also retains the yoke and keeps it from moving forward and taking the cylinder with it causing the cylinder to rub against the rear of the barrel.

That was supposed to read, "improperly".
