If I asked for prayers every time my daughter was in serious medical trouble, I'd be the member with the highest post count. To synopsis her life, when she was born, 44 years ago, they never thought she would live 24 hours. So she has had more than her share of miracles. To be frank, I've lived her whole life knowing that tomorrow could bring the end. Not counting the times she died in the O.R. and was resuscitated, I came the closest to losing her a year ago last Christmas. No one should out live their children, but that possibility has again raised it's head, in spades. She is suffering from a bowel blockage. For medical reasons, doctors in the past have said that under no terms would they operate on her. When the chance arose a year and half ago that they might have to, the Dr. gave her less than a 50% chance of surviving the operation. Over the course of the past week, they have tried numerous ways to clear the blockage, but so far all have failed. Now, in a last ditch effort, they are talking surgery.

I don't ask lightly for your prayers, as we all have our own problems and need all of God's help we can get, but so far, my prayers don't seem to be working, though I have to admit, as many times as God has come to her aid, I feel like asking him for help has probably worn out his ear. So I come to you and ask if you think about it when you say your prayers, please mention my daughter. Her name is Jamie, and she needs His help - again.

Thank you all. And a special thanks to Fred (old bear) for reaching out to me with the offer of a sympathetic ear. It means a lot to me Fred!

Prayers sent for God's guidance of the surgeons attending to your daughter and His healing hand to be placed on Jamie.

God Bless.

Yes indeed, it is....

A bowel blockage is a serious medical condition. Prayers for Jamie and all around her. May the surgeons have the courage, wisdom and skill to perform the surgery. My God's hand direct the surgeons' hands so that a good result is achieved.

My wife was in the hospital with one for several days and it was looking bad, but fortunately they got it unblocked. She was so full that she couldn't eat or drink anything, not a sip.

Prayers sent.

I've thought I would lose my boys several times as they grew to manhood, but it was always their fault. Motorcycles, hanging off cliffs on ropes and falling, and so on. So far, they are still with me, full of rods, screws and pins, but otherwise fairly sound.

I can only imagine the anguish that you have experienced over the last 44 years.

God Bless your daughter and you and other family.

Best Regards, Les
