The Fairfield Order of Police Associates, Fairfield Lodge No. 39
recently held its annual Fraternal Order of Police Associates Officer of
the Year Award banquet for 2008 in Lancaster. Sgt. Derek Boch (center)
was nominated by his fellow officers of the sheriff’s office to receive
the award. To his left is Hocking County Sheriff Lanny North. On the
right is State Senator Tim Schaffer.

Congrats, Tell the Sgt. he got a tip of the ol Stetson from Wyoming.

My father was awarded the Walter Scott Medal for Valor at the University of Detroit football stadium in the 1950's. I remember the pride watching him from the seats with my family and friends. I can only imagine how proud you are for your son! Congratulations!!!!

Many moons ago, as a Red Cross WSI (water safety instructor), I was awarded some sort of "trophy" for teaching handicapped children and adults how to swim, or at least how not to drown - and it felt good, as in Proud good, so I know how your son, and you must feel. Congratulations to both you and your son.

Pete

Congratulations and may he continue to hold the standards high for others to see.
